Restoration of Fang Xiaoru's Tombs in Past Dynasties

The tomb of Fang Xiaoru, the minister of the Ming Dynasty, is located in the back hill of Er Quan in the south of Yuhuatai. In the 13th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1585), Ming Shenzong and Zhu Yijun wrote to many loyal ministers in the period of Wen Jian and built the Biao Zhong Temple in Nanjing. Xu Da's eldest son, Xu Huizu, ranked first (when Judy entered the Imperial Capital in history, Xu Huizu stayed in the ancestral temple in Xu Da and was eventually imprisoned to death), followed by Fang Xiaoru. At this point, Fang Xiaoru finally got the snow.

After Fang Xiaoru was rehabilitated, Tang Xianzu, a famous dramatist who was an official in Nanjing at that time, found Fang Xiaoru's tomb in Jubaoshan, rebuilt it and built an ancestral temple for it. Fang Xiaoru's tombs have finally been preserved and will not be lost in the dust of history.

Fang Xiaoru's tomb was built by Tang Xianzu in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, and it has been repaired in all previous dynasties. The existing tombstone of Founder Studies (Filial Piety and Confucianism) in Ming Dynasty was erected by Li Hongzhang, Governor of Liangjiang in August of the fifth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (AD 1866). The first volume on the right side of the monument is "Rebuilt in August of Tongzhi Five Years", and the first volume on the left side is "Presented to Governor Li Hongzhang's Two Rivers" with the inscription ". Another inscription was rebuilt in the 13th year of the Republic of China (AD 1924). Han Jun, then governor of Jiangsu, built a stone archway in front of Fang Xiaoru's tomb and rebuilt the monument. During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the tombstone was lying on the ground. Ten years of turmoil once again suffered the destruction of four old buildings. Except for two worn stone tablets, the memorial archway and ancestral hall are gone.

1999, Yuhuatai Scenic Area rebuilt Fang Xiaoru's tomb. The present tomb area consists of memorial archway, Shinto, bronze statue of Fang Xiaoru and 24 inscriptions. The bronze statue of Fang Xiaoru was sculpted by Professor Liu Huanzhang, a famous sculptor in China. The inscriptions were praised by scholars and celebrities in past dynasties and written by famous contemporary painters and painters. The platform in front of the tomb, the tombstone, the mound and the retaining wall behind the tomb form an axisymmetric layout, living by the mountain and maintaining the original environmental features.

The stone archway is 5.05 meters high, and Shinto connects the archway with the tombstone, with a height of 4.2 meters. The famous calligrapher Wei Tianchi's calligraphy "Mr. Ming Taizu's Tomb" was engraved with gold. The tomb was built on the original mound. The lower part is a cylinder with a diameter of 4.6 meters, and the upper part is a hemisphere with a diameter of 2. 1 meter, with a total height of 4.5 meters. The tomb area is all built with bluestone. The environment is quiet, the trees are tall and dense, and the cypresses are towering, forming a unique landscape.
