I. Ouyang Zhan
Ouyang Zhan, a native of Pan Hu, Jinjiang, Fujian Province, was in the middle Tang Dynasty after the Anshi Rebellion and never left the position of imperial academy's teaching assistant. Ouyang Zhan's ancestors moved from Jiangxi to Jinjiang in the early years of the Tang Dynasty and passed it on to Ouyang Zhan as his sixth grandson.
Ouyang Zhan is the author of the eight-volume Collected Works of Ouyang Zhouxing. Second, Yu
Yu (1503- 1579), a native of Jinjiang (now Quanzhou, Fujian), was a famous anti-Japanese soldier, strategist, martial artist, poet and national hero in the Ming Dynasty.
