Translation of Bodhisattva Man written by Li Bai

Bodhisattva Man·Pinglin Momo is like a woven smoke

Li Bai [Tang Dynasty]

Pinglin is like a woven smoke in the desert, and the Hanshan area is sad and green. It's dark when you enter a high-rise building, and there are people upstairs who are worried.

The jade steps stand in the air, and the birds return home in a hurry. Where is the return journey? The long pavilion is shorter than the pavilion.

Translation

The dusk smoke above the stretching woods in the distance is shrouded in mist, and the green and blue mountains are extremely deep. The night filled the tall boudoir, and someone was worrying alone upstairs.

On the jade steps, I stand in vain and hope. The bird returning to its nest flies quickly, urged by its returning heart. Where is my return journey? I only saw long pavilions connected to short pavilions on the road.

Later, "Bodhisattva Man" became a ci card used by poets to write lyrics.
