Yan Zhenqing was born in 709 and died in 785. The word Chen Qing was born in Jingzhao Wannian (now Xi, Shaanxi). A famous minister in Tang Dynasty and an outstanding calligrapher. When he became an imperial envoy, he was forced out of the capital by treacherous court official Yang and became the satrap of the plain (now northwest Shandong). At that time, An Lushan's ambition to rebel against the Tang Dynasty had already appeared. Under the pretext of repeated rains, Yan Zhenqing repaired the city walls, dredged the moat, secretly recruited soldiers and stored grain and grass, and made full military preparations. When the "An Shi Rebellion" broke out and the counties in Hebei fell one after another, he raised the banner of righteousness to resist the rebels and was elected as the leader by the nearby counties. Later, Yan Zhenqing entered the customs and served as assistant minister of the Ministry of Finance and Hebei Province. Tang Suzong named him a scholar and Duke of Lu. However, Yan Zhenqing's integrity and Geng Jie were not tolerated by adulterers, and he was demoted to foreign posts many times in his life. When Li Xilie fought against the Tang Dynasty, Prime Minister Qilu hated Yan Zhenqing's integrity and advised the emperor to let Yan Zhenqing surrender. Knowing that this trip was full of difficulties, Yan Zhenqing still encouraged himself with the lofty mission of "Your life is also, why not avoid it" (Yan Liang's "Yan Lu Gongxiang Star"), and only brought his nephew and children. Li Xilie failed to persuade Yan Zhenqing, threatening to bury him alive and burn him. In this case, Yan Zhenqing righteously denounced Li Xilie and was finally killed at the age of 77. After learning the news, the court closed for five days and presented a letter to Stuart as "Wenzhong". During his nearly 50-year official career, Yan Zhenqing adhered to the Confucian principle of loyalty and filial piety. After four dynasties of Xuanzong, Suzong, Daizong and Dezong, he gave his life to safeguard Li Tang's reunification and became a model of loyal officials and righteous men.
Historian Fan Wenlan said in his works that "Yan Zhenqing in the prosperous Tang Dynasty was the creator of the new book style in the Tang Dynasty". This is because Yan Zhenqing's great personality has been integrated into his calligraphy works, showing the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. Influence, from the whole late Tang Dynasty to the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, until modern times. Yan Zhenqing's Poem of General Pei, handed down from generation to generation, has attracted great attention. This is not only because this magnificent five-character ancient poem is amazing, but also because its calligraphy art has attracted great attention.
