Stone inscriptions on Fenglong Mountain in Shijiazhuang

Stone carvings are a major feature of Fenglong Mountain. There are more than 100 steles, tablets, and inscriptions since the Eastern Han Dynasty. Especially the Han steles, both in terms of calligraphy and content, are all Chinese stone carvings. The treasures in it have always attracted the attention of epigraphers. The Han steles that have been found in historical records include the "Sangong Mountain Stele", "Wuji Mountain Stele" (also known as "Sangong God Stele"), "Ode to Fenglong Mountain", "Sangong Mountain Stele", "White Stone God Monument", etc. Liutong, the "Stele of Sacrifice to Sangong Mountain" and the "Stele of Baishi Shenjun" are still preserved in the "Han Stele Hall" in Fenglong Mountain in their original form. These steles from the Han Dynasty are of extremely high calligraphy and historical cultural relic value. In addition to the Han dynasty steles, there are more than ten steles dating from the Jin and Yuan Dynasties on Fenglong Mountain. The cliff stone carvings of Fenglong Mountain, especially the cliff stone carvings with scenery, are the treasures of Fenglong Mountain calligraphy art. In addition, the poems and songs praising Fenglong Mountain in the past dynasties are mostly handed down through stone carvings. Scenes and poems reflect each other, poems and stones contrast with each other, and the perfect combination constitutes the main theme of Fenglong Mountain, a famous historical and cultural mountain.
