Brief introduction of Guo Dahua
Guo Dahua, pen name Geng Fu, born in Guzhen County, Anhui Province, 1934, worked in Suzhou Judicial Bureau before retirement. Trained by the imperial court since childhood, he began to pursue the art of calligraphy at the age of six. Guo Dahua studied calligraphy for more than half a century, and insisted on the method of calligraphy, first learning Tang Kai, and then chasing the ink of Han, Wei, Song and Ming Dynasties. He studied hard and worked hard, unified the tradition of learning from others and explored new paths. He learned from each other's strengths and chose the best, not limited to a generation or a group of people. He doesn't stick to the old pattern and doesn't want to pursue impetuous and crazy forms. Instead, it seeks survival opportunities from traditional art and modern aesthetic thoughts, integrates hundreds of schools of thought and is unique. Throughout his books, the doctrine of the mean is peaceful, and the combination of rigidity and softness is smooth. The meaning is interesting in stippling, expressed outside stippling, and expressed in fairness and discipline.
