There is a huge stone beach in the scenic area, and a stone pillar stands in the middle. It is more than one hundred meters high and about two meters thick, all of which are pebbles embracing each other. The stone pillar, like a sharp arrow, pierces the blue sky and stands still after thousands of years of wind, frost, rain and snow. The finger stone at the front end of Baodaoling is about 3 meters high and 5 meters in diameter, and there is a stone with the size of 1 meter at the bottom of the boulder. With a slight poke of your finger, the boulder will shake; When the wind blows, it will sway from side to side, as if it were going to roll down at any time. For tens of millions of years, it has stood trembling like this. A few years ago, a busybody bet that 32 people wound a rope around a huge stone and pulled it hard for a long time, but the stone still didn't move. Entering the Tianxiandong Scenic Area, there is a huge stone protruding and round like a giant drum, so it is called a drum otolith. The stone is natural and traceless, but there is spring water that seems to be leaching from the pores and gurgling all year round. Gather under the stone to form a pool, which is too big and insufficient, and is neither satisfied nor dry all year round.
Tianxian Cave is abundant in rainfall, surrounded by clouds all the year round, and flowing water gurgles. There are more than 30 waterfalls alone. The vegetation in the scenic area is particularly good, with precious trees such as red beans, nanmu and fir growing. There are as many as 500 Alsophila spinulosa trees known as living fossils of paleontology. The mountain people here have a strong sense of environmental protection. Only the dead branches are picked when burning wood. There are dozens of wild animals such as foxes, hedgehogs, goats, wild boars, leopards, golden monkeys, monkey-faced eagles, egrets and pythons. Peacock River is home to tens of thousands of egrets all the year round. In late spring and early summer, egret eggs were everywhere, but no one picked them up. Egrets rise and fall between green mountains and green waters, croaking and singing, adding a lot of vitality to the silent canyon and forming a unique landscape.
Another wonder of the canyon is fireflies. Every early summer, when the seedlings in the field are jointing, countless fireflies gather in Peacock Valley. Standing on the top of the mountain and looking down, the dense fireflies merged into a long queue for miles, flashing in the canyon, which was quite spectacular. Experts say that the formation of fireflies has its special geographical conditions, and scenes like firefly ditch are unique in the world.
Tianxian Cave is located at the intersection of the Yangtze River and Yongning River, 29 kilometers away from Luzhou, with high mountains and dense forests and dangerous terrain. It has always been a battleground for military strategists. Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of Shu Han, led 50 thousand troops to fight fiercely with Meng Huo here and captured Meng Huo in one fell swoop. Zhuge Liang's podium, military accounts and the place where Meng Huo was captured and released are still discernible. On the rock wall next to the Peacock River, there is a Sanqu engraved: "Life has been 70 years old, except for the old and the young, and there are not many days in the middle, and there are still cold troubles. You can't make more money in the world. Officials spend a lot of money, worry a lot, and have long been bald. Please be careful in front of your eyes, and bury weeds every year. There are new and old graves in the grass, and most of them are clear and not swept. " Signed by Shi Dakai, King of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Wing. Calligraphy is not top grade, but the handwriting is vigorous and powerful, and there is desolation between strokes. Sanqu is not Shi Dakai's work, but it is consistent with his mood at that time. There are more than a dozen stone carvings by Shi Dakai in the Fairy Cave. Because of its unique landscape, Tianxian Cave has attracted many literati in history, and there are many cultural relics and historical sites, most of which are well preserved.
