Earthquake, a topic that people all over the world are afraid of, is a familiar word. In recent years, it has always appeared frequently, eroding our fragile hearts. Everyone is shouting: "earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, keep earthquakes away from human beings!" " On May 12, 2008, a sudden earthquake swept through China and Wenchuan. It is this day that the people of China are crying and the people of Wenchuan are crying. How many people, separated from each other, their families are ruined. On April 4, 20 10, the tragedy was staged again. People in the disaster shouted in hoarse voices: "We want to survive, and we will never bow to the disaster!"
In order to let people know more about earthquakes, Shaoxing Science and Technology Museum held a special exhibition on popular science knowledge of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction. During the winter vacation, I was lucky enough to visit it, which gave me a new understanding of the earthquake and benefited a lot.
Earthquake is a huge natural disaster that destroys mankind in an instant. Its occurrence is independent of human will. Due to the constant movement and change of the deep materials in the earth, the surface layer of the earth, especially the crust, is also constantly moving and changing, thus gradually accumulating huge energy in the long geological belt. In some fragile areas of the earth's crust, when it can't bear great stress, or the rock strata suddenly break, or cause the dislocation of thick faults, which will lead to earthquakes. Earthquakes can also be divided into natural earthquakes, induced earthquakes and artificial earthquakes.
With the rapid development of science, earthquake prevention and disaster reduction has become a common topic. What should I do if the earthquake comes? Recently, our class held a small group exercise on this issue, and also toured all classes in the school, which was well received by everyone.
First of all, don't panic, be calm and take life as the priority. If you live in a building, you can't stay in bed or stand in the middle of the room during the earthquake. You should hide under a solid table or bed at once. Don't take The Upper Terrace, don't take the stairs, and don't take the elevator. If you are in school, you should hold your head quickly under the command of the teacher. Don't panic and rush to escape in an earthquake. After the earthquake, it is necessary to evacuate to an open place in an organized way and stay where you are. After the earthquake, if you are buried and can't escape by yourself, you must hold your horses. Try to take your hand out of the buried object first to protect yourself from new injuries. If you can't get out of danger for the time being, you should save your strength and don't cry loudly. Take decisive measures to find living space.
However, earthquake prediction is still a worldwide problem. How to solve this problem? I think the heavy responsibility should fall on our generation. We should study hard, study hard, invent more advanced instruments to predict future earthquakes, and advocate that everyone protect the environment, starting from me, don't cut down trees indiscriminately, actively plant trees, and create a' good living environment' so that the tragedy of Wenchuan earthquake will not be staged again.
