Yan Shu
I have always been young and limited, and it is easy to be ecstatic when I leave at leisure. Don't speak frequently at banquets and songs.
Mountains and rivers are far away, and falling flowers and wind and rain hurt spring even more. It is better to pity the present.
This is Yan Shu's farewell poem. This word has a thick brushwork and a rich style. Although it expresses the feelings of hurting Philip Burkart in spring, the meaning between the lines is not sad, which makes the rather decadent theme look open-minded and bright.
The first movie of Ci expresses his feelings directly, lamenting that life is short and time is fleeting. The phrase "I have always been young and limited" split the world and hit my face. "Forever" means "one day, one moment". How short time is. Human life will come to an end in a limited time. It's really sad and regrettable, but this is a natural law that everyone can't resist. Who doesn't want the beautiful years to last forever? In Yan Shu's ci, it is his common lament to cherish the spring and feel that absolute beauty is gone, but in this sentence, he can directly shout it out, thus making the work achieve a thrilling effect.
"It's easy to be ecstatic when leisure is gone", which comes from the last sentence, and the meaning of the sentence is even more folded, adding another layer of sadness. The parting written between the lines is neither life nor death, but an ordinary parting! But the word "leisure" is never idle. "ecstasy" means that "heartache" and "laziness" complement each other. In a short life, there will be more than one parting, and each parting will occupy a part of the limited years. How can you not regret it? Poets can only console themselves with self-indulgence: "Don't talk frequently at banquets and songs." Pain is futile. It is better to use this limited life to praise wine and enjoy it. Although the words in the first part are short, they all have their own meanings, and they are interrelated and interlocking.
The second part closely follows the meaning of the last part, and its structure is also in the same strain as the last part. It is the poet's imagination that "mountains and rivers are everywhere, and falling flowers and wind and rain hurt spring more". Because he misses people far away, the poet imagines that if he climbs high and looks far, he will be pregnant with other relatives and friends in Philip Burkart in vain because he is separated from Qian Shan by thousands of waters. What's more, the bleak scene of wind and rain destroying flowers is inevitable in his natural heart. In this case, it is the best way for the poet to solve the contradiction between short life and eternal time. Corresponding to "don't talk too often at the banquet", they expressed a view of helplessness and self-liberation in life.
As a rich prime minister, Yan Shu won't let painful thoughts torture herself, nor will she indulge in singing and drinking, because it is useless to have empty thoughts. Instead of recalling those long-lost and irretrievable love songs, we should cherish and grasp everything in front of us and accept the happiness around us. In the next film, the poet, in despair, faces the present reality with a broad-minded and bright mind, making the upper and lower films blend seamlessly and making the meaning of the word more lofty.
In short, the whole word constitutes a unified artistic conception, and in the infinite sadness, there is another kind of broadmindedness; In the unspeakable sadness, there is also an open mind, which makes the whole poem profound and rich in connotation.
