This volume of "Tao Te Ching", later known as "Goose Swap Tie", is Wang Xizhi's second masterpiece after "Lanting Preface".

3. Yan Zhenqing (709 AD - 785 AD): Perseverance
Yan Zhenqing is a famous calligrapher in my country and one of the four masters of regular script. He grew up in a poor family and practiced calligraphy with Loess and water were pasted on the wall, and small wooden sticks were used to write on it. He studied under Zhang Xu, a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. Yan Zhenqing gave up his official position and became a disciple, thinking that he could quickly master the skills of calligraphy. However, Zhang Xu only gave simple instructions, introduced some famous calligraphy to him to copy, or took him to travel around the mountains and rivers, or Just read his writing.
Yan Zhenqing didn't get any secrets, so he was anxious and directly told the teacher that he wanted to learn the secrets of calligraphy. The teacher only said that there is no other way but to study hard and practice hard, and at the same time be inspired by all phenomena of nature. Yan Zhenqing begged, but the teacher still said sternly, there is no secret, only hard work.
Yan Zhenqing finally realized that the secret was to study hard, study carefully, and understand the rules of writing from nature. He persevered and finally became a famous calligrapher in my country.
4. Huaisu (737 AD - 799 AD): A bare pen becomes a tomb
Huaisu is a famous calligrapher in my country. He is most famous for his wild calligraphy and is known as the Saint of Grass. Huai Su was a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty. There are many stories about practicing calligraphy. He used a wooden disk as an inkstone and a wooden board as a writing board. He polished ink every day and wrote every day. The wooden plate is worn out, the plank is scratched through, the bald pens are piled up into a hill, and I have developed a free hand with wild grass.
5. Liu Gongquan (778-865): a family of his own
Liu Gongquan is a famous calligrapher in China who created a family of his own and founded "Liu style". Emperor Muzong of the Tang Dynasty was eccentric in his administration, but Liu Gongquan was outspoken in front of him. Emperor Muzong of the Tang Dynasty once asked Liu Gongquan how to use the pen. Liu Gongquan replied: Use the pen with the heart in mind, and the heart will be straight and the pen will be correct. Mu Zong's expression changed. Anyone else would have been killed long ago.
