How is regular script formed?
Regular script, also known as "official script", appeared in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and its glyph was further developed and perfected in the Six Dynasties and matured in the Tang Dynasty. Named for its square font and straight strokes, it can be used as a model text. Regular script is a simplification of official script, and its changes are reflected in two aspects: first, it is changed to hook shape; Second, turn twists and turns into straight pens. Hook does not hinder the physical integrity of regular script, but it can increase its strength; The straight pen replaces the twists and turns, which is convenient to write and saves a lot of trouble. Nevertheless, the symbolism of official script, its frame structure and brushwork are all inherited by regular script. After the official script is improved into regular script, the aesthetic feeling of the font is mainly reflected in the brushwork and personality characteristics, which is conducive to the further development of calligraphy art.
