The ups and downs of work style.

There are ups and downs in college, mainly focusing on flower-and-bird paintings. Seven or eight years ago, he entered the studio of Yang Yanwen Advanced Class of Beijing Academy of Painting and began to learn China landscape painting. This change is also out of control. In recent years, landscape painting has been the mainstay. I am not familiar with the ups and downs of traditional landscape painting techniques in China. In the painting and creation of landscape painting, I don't stick to one pattern, let nature take its course and draw everything in my heart. He feels nature with his heart, and his paintings come from life without any routines and traces, which makes people feel fresh and pleasing to the eye. The emergence of the artistic realm highlighted by this transformation is by no means a purely objective mechanical description of nature, but a kind of "the self-satisfaction of craftsmen is the highest" (in Mi Fei's words), especially the landscape scenery, which cannot be copied and can only be grasped by the creation of the mind. Point out the second key of artistic conception: first, "change" and sense of change; The second is "panorama", a sense of wholeness. The "expensive spirit" and "changefulness" in the ups and downs of landscape painting, to some extent, make its unique landscape painting blend with the times.

But for young and middle-aged painters who like ups and downs, today's achievements are not so much due to their solid foundation and proficiency in painting language, but more importantly, because they put the relationship between art and life, art and society in a positive position, care about society and their own feelings, and handle the relationship between tradition and innovation more steadily.

The art of ups and downs not only inherits and continues the excellent tradition of Chinese paintings in the past dynasties that actively reflect life and pursue the truth, goodness and beauty of art, but also has its own unique application as the leading force of socialist art in the new period of reform and opening up, both in the development of subject matter and in the expression of artistic forms and techniques.

5.3 Self-awakening on the Road of Homologous Painting and Calligraphy

Li (now dead), a university calligraphy teacher who had ups and downs at that time, told the ups and downs: "Calligraphy is a thread and a bone. If the calligraphy is not well written, the picture will not stand, and the whole painting will be out of control." He immediately began to cram for calligraphy, gradually explored the relationship between calligraphy and painting, and realized that calligraphy and painting are homologous.

Shuowen Jiezi is the beginning of ups and downs in understanding Chinese characters. This book is regarded as an encyclopedia before the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. As Xu Shen's son said in "A Table of Shang Shuo Wen Jie Zi": "Shen Bo asked people, and the test was written by Kui (Jia Kui). As Shuo Wen Jie Zi, Liuyi Group is practicing its meaning, while the gods, mountains and rivers, for ups and downs, he started his own new world of calligraphy from Shuo Wen Jie Zi, dating back to the beginning. In this book, he deeply realized the "six books". Through his diligence, concentration and persistence, he constantly excavated the deep meaning and deconstructed it, and then reconstructed his own artistic system in his own way.

1985 is "85 Art School". Li Xiaoshan, an art critic who worked in Nanjing Academy of Fine Arts at that time, wrote an article "The End of Chinese Painting", which caused an uproar in the art world, totally negating Chinese painting and saying that traditional painting in China had no way out. The ups and downs at that time also caused deep thought. 1986 in the second half of the year, ups and downs have been considering a way to continue the meaning of traditional Chinese characters and integrate the most modern things into his calligraphy. By chance, he found that he could combine his paintings with characters, and concluded that he would continue to explore and try with his own China calligraphy as his creative matrix. This is not only a matter of human history, but also an understanding of the text itself, culture and inheritance, which makes the ups and downs exciting. Because he has repeatedly studied the ups and downs brought by Shuo Wen Jie Zi, he has been thinking about how Chinese characters came from. In addition, because he is familiar with the various alternate evolution of Yan seal, including the types and functions of his works, his unique "form and meaning" calligraphy began to take shape gradually, and finally opened a new continent in the calligraphy and painting world in the early 1990 s, gained authoritative recognition, and brought a spring breeze to the academic community.

5.4 The first solo exhibition of the Asian Games in the early 1990s.

In the early 1990s, the first solo exhibition of 25-year-old "ups and downs" was exhibited at Xiangshan Hotel in Beijing at the initiative of Mr. Zhang Yabin of China Academy of Fine Arts. The time was 1990, the day after the opening of the 11th Asian Games, on September 26th. The exhibition was personally recommended to the Propaganda Department of the Asian Games by Mr. Shen Peng, then Chairman of the China Book Association, who wrote it himself. Wang Ping (former member of the Standing Committee of China Central Advisory Committee and former member of the Standing Committee of China Central Military Commission), Wang Enmao (vice chairman of the 6th and 7th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), Han Meilin, Tian Shiguang and Shen Peng attended the exhibition.

5.5 Dan Qing's brilliant pen, iron bones and tender feelings.

The ups and downs are known as the "Prince of Plum Blossoms". The earliest passion for plum blossoms originated from the flower and bird major in college. When I was in college, the ups and downs had a deep memory of a speech by Chen Danqing at that time, when Chen Danqing was already in the United States. Ups and downs At school, I listened to Chen Danqing's stories about art with a tape recorder. Ups and downs, I remember saying that Chen Danqing saw a plum blossom in the Wang Mian exhibited in the British Museum, or a painting of Xuemei, which was the treasure taken away by Eight-Nation Alliance at that time. Visitors are not allowed to take photos or copy works when passing by. At that time, he was very angry. As a China person, we have lost many such original works, but what is more helpless is that we can't learn too much. This is also a great stimulus to the ups and downs. When I was a flower and bird major in college, I found a set of methods to draw plums by myself. Plum blossom is the first of the four gentlemen, also known as the national flower. Plum blossom symbolizes a kind of spirit, and Yongmei, a scholar of past dynasties. The ups and downs also chose plum blossom as the starting point. 1993 Exhibited The Rise and Fall of Plum Blossoms in the United States with Yu Delong, a university teacher. At that time, Mr. Yu Delong said to ups and downs, "If you can draw plum blossoms well, other flowers and birds are not a problem. Why? Plum blossom has no leaves, only flowers and branches, because it can hide ugliness without a large leaf like other flowers, because leaves can be used to hide ugliness. " Therefore, the attitude of ups and downs to plum blossoms is more firm.

Ups and downs, painting plums, starting and closing pens, let the heart dominate. Its plums, without body, bones, meat and appearance, smell of fetal air everywhere. His "Plum Blossom" has received a lot of recognition, and Yang Yanwen called it "iron tenderness". In addition to his plum blossom works exhibited and collected many times at home and abroad, in 2007, Ups and downs was appointed as the curator of China Plum Blossom Art Museum.
