Huangyuan's lamps are arranged in various forms, such as rectangle, horizontal bridge, plum blossom, fan-shaped, cabinet-shaped, oval, etc., which are mostly composed of four squares, meaning that "spring, summer, autumn and winter" are endless, and the four seasons are always spring and last forever. Each grid consists of a screen window 3 feet long and 2 feet wide. The lights are arranged on both sides, which are eight squares, about ten feet long. However, in Gonghaimen, the "Eight Immortals' Birthday" lantern arrangement is hung first, and the "Dragon and Phoenix Becoming Lucky" lantern arrangement is hung at the end of Yingchun Gate. Wan 'an Bridge has the arrangement of "Feng 'er" lights, and Zhangjiaga has the arrangement of "Fierce Bridge" lights, which are made by domestic painting masters or famous teachers with fine silk thread from Suzhou and Hangzhou. Paintings are rich and colorful, based on historical stories, folk stories, religious stories and so on. Each row of lights shows a story or a plot in the form of a cartoon, so the characters are vivid and the scene is vivid. Especially when the candle flame is strong and the lights are flashing, the characters in the picture are moving silently and lifelike.
Later, Huangyuan Paideng innovated on the basis of traditional techniques. The form is changed from hanging type to floor type, and the shapes are cabinet type, nave type, screen type and shadow wall type. In addition to painting, art has added pile embroidery, embroidery, sheepskin embroidery, shadow play, paper-cutting and calligraphy. The picture also shows the Kunlun myth and Hehuang culture, especially Huangyuan, as the birthplace of Kunlun culture and the hometown of the Queen Mother of the West, which has its own unique "Flat Peach Festival", "Meeting Mu Wang", "Moths flying to the moon", "Kuafu chasing the sun" and "Dayu controlling water".
