Shangyi: the way of life in three words

What goes up is progress, what stops is Zhi Zhi, and what goes right is righteousness. Progress, Zhi Zhi and honesty represent the starting point, inflection point and fulcrum of life. The starting point should be high, the inflection point should be cautious and the fulcrum should be firm. The three are the pillars of each other, protecting each other and interlocking, thus showing a beautiful life.

The first part: On

In fact, it is to make progress and be positive.

The Book of Changes says, "A gentleman strives for self-improvement." If you achieve great things, you should be as self-reliant as the sky and constantly strive for self-improvement.

But some people are always complaining about the unsatisfactory life, being content with the status quo and not seeking progress.

As the saying goes, "You can't carve rotten wood, and the wall of dung can't be polluted." Those who pretend to sleep will never wake up, and those who don't make progress will never be able to extricate themselves.

Once upon a time, there was a child prodigy named Fang Zhongyong. The poems that he could write when he was five years old were highly praised by his peers.

His talent made people in the same county spend money on poetry, so Fang's father refused to let him study, relying on his cleverness to look down on those who study hard.

In a few years, Fang Zhongyong will be no different from ordinary people.

Zhu Youshi said: "Teenagers are easy to get old but difficult to learn, and an inch of time is an inch of light."

Life is too short, but I don't have an enterprising heart in a blink of an eye. I am content with the status quo and don't want to make progress. Recalling my old age is just full of regrets.

No nameless grass grows on the ground, and no useless people are raised in the sky.

Self-indulgent people can only live in a muddle, and the value of life lies in constantly surpassing themselves. Only by working hard and being strong can our life be more substantial and valuable.

"Tao Te Ching" wrote: "The folded wood was born in the last stream; Nine-story platform, starting with tired soil; A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. "

Those who are resolute, tenacious, self-reliant and positive will eventually reach the other side of the ideal.

Part II: Stop

Laozi said: "Being satisfied is not humiliating, being satisfied is not dangerous and can last for a long time."

The so-called "enough is enough" means knowing enough is enough to avoid danger.

The word Zhi Zhi has two meanings, one is to achieve perfection. The last sentence of "University" is "stop at perfection", which means that when you stop at perfection, you know where perfection is, where the goal is, and where you stop, then you have a direction. "Zhi Zhi will decide later, and then you will be quiet."

On the other hand, it means knowing enough is enough and being content. In the face of temptation, inner peace is certainly not easy. Sometimes we need to keep pursuing, such as endless study, but sometimes we need Zhi Zhi.

Life is always short and short, there are always things that can't be done and things that can't be achieved. Therefore, whenever you look back, even if you don't feel sorry, there will be times when you feel sorry. Zhi Zhi is not easy.

However, people always want Zhi Zhi. They are insatiable, insatiable, insatiable, insatiable, insatiable, insatiable, but they will not be satisfied. Therefore, the legend of Chinese poetry says: "Those who are greedy for things are not rich in the world."

Zhi Zhi didn't let people be content with the status quo, but taught people how to do the right thing and how to stop it. If Zhi Zhi and contentment are put together, there is no doubt that Zhi Zhi is better than contentment.

Because contentment comes from giving satisfaction to the outside world, and Zhi Zhi is more focused on his own understanding, knowing when to come, when to go, when to stop and when to let go. Even if I don't want to, I know it's time to stop, so I stop and stop here.

Physics says that energy is conserved, and so is life. If you want to get it, you have to pay, and if you want to gain it, you have to work hard. Sometimes fate may be generous and give you a lot, but the generosity of fate is not a reason for greed. It's too much to ask for, and it will need to be repaid one day.

Zhi Zhi is very valuable. Know Zhi Zhi, do Zhi Zhi, is really know "stop".

Part III: Positive.

Righteousness means righteousness and correct attitude.

It is the ideal of many people to cultivate one's morality and cultivate one's character. And the foundation of cultivating qi is right.

There is a saying in "University": "If you want to cultivate yourself, you should be upright first."

Everything goes wrong with a bad heart.

Life is a practice, and the most important thing in this practice is to cultivate the mind.

The Book of Changes says: "Ding, a gentleman takes his life as it is."

Successful people need a correct attitude and gather strength to accomplish their ambitions.

Liu Gongquan, a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty, showed a great talent for calligraphy from an early age.

Liu Gongquan's words are well-known and sought after by everyone, so he is complacent.

One day, Liu Gongquan met an old man with a broken arm and asked him for words. Liu Gongquan sarcastically said that without arms, he would not write or appreciate words.

Hearing this, the old man wrote with his feet, not wanting to write better than Liu Gongquan. Liu Gongquan was ashamed, changed his pride, buried himself in practice, and eventually became a generation.

Everyone in the world, there are mountains outside the mountains, and there are people outside the people.

Don't lose heart because of a moment of complacency.

Integrity contains a right life principle and a sincere and self-disciplined personality spirit. The mode and realm of life have never been determined by the amount of material. As the saying goes, "the mind is evil by things, and things are self-centered." External material fame and fortune are far less valuable than internal self-cultivation.

The words "Shang", "Stop" and "Zheng" are just a little short. If you add a vertical line to one, it stops; if you add a horizontal line to it, it is called "positive".

All Chinese characters, with a horizontal line above and a horizontal line below, tell us that the horizontal line above is indomitable spirit and the horizontal line below is indomitable spirit. To be a man, you must stand upright.
