When learning calligraphy, is it better to learn calligraphy first or take hard notes?

When learning calligraphy, is it better to learn calligraphy first or take hard notes? This question may bother most of us parents and friends who study calligraphy. Here are some of my personal opinions.

First of all, I have not specifically learned hard-pen calligraphy. I started practicing brush calligraphy in kindergarten and wrote intermittently for some time. After I entered elementary school, I found that my pen calligraphy was not bad.

When my son was 6 years old, I let him practice calligraphy with calligraphy during the summer vacation. Later, he refused to practice, and I did not force him to practice calligraphy with calligraphy. Later, I found that he also wrote pencil calligraphy in his homework book. It has to be neater.

The above two things clearly tell us that practicing calligraphy with calligraphy can improve handwriting with hard pen. It is recommended that children start practicing calligraphy when they are in the second or third grade of elementary school, because at this time they already have a certain amount of text and understand the basic sequence of strokes, so it will be easier for them to learn calligraphy.

Both hard-pen calligraphy and calligraphy learning will influence each other, but writing well with hard-pen calligraphy does not necessarily lead to good calligraphy with calligraphy, and people who are good at calligraphy with calligraphy will definitely be good at calligraphy with hard-brush calligraphy. This is because of the writing technique and shape of the brush. The skill is much higher than the hard pen. Therefore, the expressive power of calligraphy art of brush calligraphy is much higher than that of hard-brush calligraphy.

Some suggestions for practicing calligraphy:

1. Start with regular script, which has the most standardized structure;

2. It is best to start with copying from ancient calligraphy books. Start by learning from the calligraphy of famous writers in the Jin and Tang dynasties;

3. It is never too late to start practicing, the key is persistence;

4. Find a "master" for guidance, "Understand "Teacher";

5. Do not use a brush to write pen calligraphy, commonly known as "Jianghu style";
