The topic of consultants

He Tonggui

Based on my limited experience, I once simply thought that the word "consultant" was a patent for old people, or for veteran cadres A kind of treatment. For example, the advisory committee previously established by the central government was a transitional arrangement to complete the transition between the old and the new.

In the past, I worked in two offices of the county party committee and county government, and I often saw older leading comrades resigning and being assigned "consultant" positions. Most of these consultants have no substantive division of labor. They only enjoy the prescribed treatment and receive some care in terms of car use, newspaper subscription, travel, etc. They are also happy with this kind of leisure and relaxation in their old age. They joke about themselves as "ask if you can, and don't ask if you can't."

Although I am getting older, I am not qualified to be a "consultant". However, in recent years, I have occasionally been associated with these two words. I think it was because of my hobby of writing that the County Chronicle Editorial Committee, County Poetry Association, County Calligraphers Association and other groups gave me such a title. Although I have written county annals and some poems that are not very rhythmic, I know nothing about calligraphy. So I didn't agree at first. But several people in charge of the calligraphy association said: "It doesn't matter if your calligraphy is good or bad. The key is that we help control the content when we hold book fairs." These people have won awards in book fairs many times, and their calligraphy attainments and writing skills are excellent. He was very good. Who am I to dare to talk about it? So I refused again and again, and they said: "You have nothing to do. Come play with us when you have time. At least it will be good for your body and mood!" In order to make me increase the number. I am also interested in calligraphy. I also wrote a dozen short poems that I had published into a long volume. They were hardcovered and sent to me for appreciation and collection. I also sent a photocopy of the original manuscript to the first issue of the Journal of the Calligraphy Association. Unexpected friendship and warmth, it doesn't matter whether he is a "consultant" or not.

My name has been printed in books as a consultant a few times, but that was unexpected. For example, this is the case with the calligraphy collection of Yan Yan, a military calligrapher from Raoyang. A few years ago, he wanted to go back to his hometown to hold a personal book exhibition, and carefully prepared hundreds of exquisite calligraphy works, mostly poems, aphorisms, couplets, aphorisms, etc., but he always felt that there was still a lack of a final work that could comprehensively promote Rao Yang. He asked me to write an article "Rao Yang Fu" through a friend. I knew that my knowledge of classical Chinese was very shallow, so I was very hesitant. But he encouraged me and said: "I have read a few of your articles and I believe you can write it well." My book friend and I When they talked about this matter, they all recommended you to write it." I asked him to find someone else, but he said firmly: "If you really don't want to write it, I will use the "three" article you published in the county chronicle. "The Song of Three Characters". However, I think the literary talent of "The Song of Three Characters" is slightly inferior, so it is better to write another article!" He also said very sincerely: "I dare not say that this "Rao Yang Fu" will never be followed, but it is always It is unprecedented, and it is the first poem for us Raoyang people to promote our hometown. After you finish writing it, I will ask a few friends in Beijing to read it, and then write it carefully to do a good thing for my hometown!" After writing this article, I It was first published in "Hengshui Evening News", and then Yan Yan printed it into the 2014 calendar for distribution in Beijing. At the opening of the book exhibition, this work was framed into six giant scrolls and hung in the entrance hall of the county cultural center. It was praised and criticized by many cadres and the masses. I stood in front of this masterpiece of calligraphy, admiring his vigorous and vigorous ink strokes, and felt that the originally almost mediocre words seemed to have added a bit of charm. Later, he compiled and published the contents of the book fair, printed this poem on the front page, and also wrote me as a "literary consultant." In fact, although I helped a little bit at this book fair, I feel unworthy of being a "consultant". He did it this way just to commemorate our cooperation.

The so-called "consultants" have been listed on the shelves several times. Whether it was a verbal invitation or a printed paper, I didn't pay much attention to it because my literary friends relied heavily on it. Sometimes when friends talk about this topic, I say: "I am only qualified to be the family's food consultant. Because every time I cook, my wife always asks me what to eat, but when she asks, she still knows what to do." People just He smiled and said, "It's easy to be a consultant like this, and I can do well as a consultant!"

Although I often joke about this, last year I actually received a letter of appointment from a "consultant" in the county.

I was out of town at that time, and suddenly a leading comrade called me and said that the joint meeting had agreed to hire me as a "cultural consultant" and that the appointment ceremony would be held at the Vegetable and Grape Festival. I was unable to attend the meeting for some reason, so the county party committee sent two comrades to deliver the letter of appointment to my home. I opened it and saw that it said "Raoyang County Talent Consultant". Are you asking me to recommend talents, or am I a "talent" myself? I don't quite understand what it means. The comrade who sent the letter of appointment said: "The dozen or so people hired are involved in various fronts of industry, agriculture, commerce, and culture. You are in the cultural field." I immediately said that as a retired cadre, I must actively cooperate with the central work of the county party committee and government, and I must do my best for any tasks. And for. They said they didn't have any specific tasks. They just asked these people to shoot a newsreel separately and publicize it on TV, so they asked me to talk about "using the remaining heat". I felt a little uncomfortable when I heard about filming. I used to avoid the camera when there were activities at work, but now that I'm retired, I don't want to be manipulated by others for filming, so I politely declined. As a result, this first "mission" failed to "cooperate" well.

That day, after the two comrades of the county party committee left, I took out the "Modern Chinese Dictionary" to look up the meaning of "consultant". The explanation above was: "having expertise in a certain area, providing information to individuals or organizations." Consultant". When I reflect on myself against this condition, I find that the gap is too big and even a bit superficial. Later, when I read Sun Li’s correspondence, I saw that he also talked about “consultants” in a letter, saying that he had offered to resign as a consultant to the Chinese Writers’ Association and the Tianjin Writers’ Association, “but I cannot resign as a consultant to the newspaper because it is my job.” "Mr. Sun Li has a distinguished literary reputation and numerous works, but he is indifferent to fame and status and has no competition. He can be regarded as a model for future generations. Although the meaning of "rice bowl" he said is ironic, it also expresses his affection for his work unit. Deeply affectionate. I am a mediocre person with few talents. I have not made any achievements in politics, and it is difficult to write good articles. When the topic of "consultant" is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind when I feel ashamed is the word "stimulation". From now on, I can only study hard, enrich myself, and do whatever I can to do good things that are beneficial to the people and my hometown. In the final analysis, as the old saying goes, let's shine with every enthusiasm. Although this light and heat is so insignificant.
