Can conditions be attached to a bill endorsement?

Legal analysis: According to the provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Law, conditions must not be attached to the endorsement of instruments. If there are conditions attached to the endorsement, the attached conditions will not have the effect of the bill of exchange and will be deemed invalid. However, it will not affect the endorsement. The endorsement itself is valid and is just a simple endorsement. Because the bill represents the bill rights created by the drawer through statutory recorded matters, but endorsement is an accessory act to the bill, the endorser has no right to increase or decrease the bill rights created by the drawer.

Legal basis: "The Negotiable Instrument Law of the People's Republic of China" Article 33 No conditions may be attached to the endorsement. If there are conditions attached to the endorsement, the attached conditions will not have the effect of the bill of exchange.

An endorsement that transfers part of the bill amount or an endorsement that transfers the bill amount to two or more people is invalid.
