Gao Shi (700-765), a famous frontier poet in Tang Dynasty, was called Gao Changshi. Poetry is tragic and desolate, brushwork is vigorous, magnificent and unrestrained, warm and generous.

Zhao Mengfu (1254- 1322) was born in Song Xue and Xing Wu (now Huzhou, Zhejiang). He was called "Zhao Jixian" because Zhao Mengfu was appointed as a Confucian scholar during his three years in Dade (1299) and studied in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. One of the four masters of regular script (Ou Yangxun, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Zhao Mengfu)
