Zhao Mengfu (1254- 1322) was born in Song Xue and Xing Wu (now Huzhou, Zhejiang). He was called "Zhao Jixian" because Zhao Mengfu was appointed as a Confucian scholar during his three years in Dade (1299) and studied in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. One of the four masters of regular script (Ou Yangxun, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Zhao Mengfu)
So the meaning of these two sentences is: Poetry is open-minded, bold and free from vulgarity, and calligraphy is fresh and mellow, which belongs to Zhao Mengfu!
