What does armature mean?

Armor is an ancient weapon, which originated in the Southern and Northern Dynasties in China. It consists of a handle and a flat metal head. Armor is mainly used as a melee weapon, which can be used for stabbing, hitting and chopping. Although it has a history of many years, we can still see its application in some traditional operas and traditional martial arts performances today.

Because armor itself is a kind of weapon, in China culture, it has the symbolic significance of fighting, attacking and defending, and defeating the enemy. At the same time, armature also appears in some calligraphy, poetry and painting works. It is considered as one of the symbols of China traditional culture, because it represents an ancient and mysterious force and contains the essence of traditional culture.

With the changes of the times and the improvement of science and technology, many changes have taken place in modern armature. Some craftsmen and designers combine traditional armature with modern technology to create some new armature products, such as armature with electric shock function or armature with lighting function. Of course, these new armature products have not completely replaced the traditional armature, but added some modern elements on the basis of retaining the traditional characteristics and essence to better meet the needs of contemporary society.
