Gong Jianfeng (1673 AD - 1748 AD) was a Han nationality, an educator in the Qing Dynasty, and a native of Fuqiang County (now Gangu County). Gong Jianfengqian was eager to learn. He was able to write poems at the age of 7 and write at the age of 10. He passed away at the age of 21. After failing many times in the township examination, he opened a school in Liuhubin, the county seat, to teach apprentices. In the fifty-second year of Kangxi's reign (1713), Gong Jianfeng took part in the Shaanxi-Gansu Provincial Examination, and the examiner Yu Changce praised his essays for "the atmosphere of a Confucian scholar". After passing the imperial examination, he went to Beijing for the joint examination and the palace examination, and passed both examinations. Because of his excellent moral character and talent, and good at poetry and calligraphy, he was selected as a Shujishi and entered the Shuchangguan to study classics, history, poetry and Manchu translation. After disbanding in three years, he was assigned to the Hanlin Academy for review and later promoted to editor.
