Interpreting the Classic Transition

It took the classical Chinese teacher nearly a week to finish reading Transition, so I'll sort out my post-reading feelings and share them with you.

Classical teacher is the author of the best-selling book "Tearing Down the Wall in Thinking" with 3 million copies, the director of Luo Ji's "Get" column "Super Personal", and the founder of the new elite enterprise company.

1. What did you read from the preface of this book?

In the preface of the book, the classic teacher invited three big coffees, Yu, Luo Zhenyu and Wan Weigang, to do the preface, and the preface of the three knowledge big coffees was also full of dry goods.

(1) remainder

Yu is the former boss of the classical teacher. Teacher Yu shared three points:

1, think clearly about the target. Whether it is life design or work career planning, we should slow down, see clearly and think clearly before doing it. Management by objectives is equivalent to the first and second chapters in classic works. The classical teacher told us that we need to learn to follow the trend and use the law to form our own black box.

2. Establish various learning actions. There are five main ways to learn: reading, traveling, making friends, visiting famous teachers and getting to know each other personally. That's how Mr. Yu practiced himself. I recently bought Mr. Yu's essay "Walking Life" at the South China Book Fair. Book Interview records Mr. Yu's own travel notes, reading notes, life feelings, life experiences, education and cultural feelings. Share it with everyone after reading it. Diversified learning corresponds to the third chapter of the classic teacher's book, that is, we should become an online learner.

3. Have an investment mentality. Each of us is an investor in our own life, and we should learn to establish an investment perspective and vision for every action.

(2) Luo Zhenyu

In the preface, Luo Zhenyu summed up seven reasons why readers want to read Transition, and I think two of them are worth understanding and practicing deeply:

1. Establish a nonlinear leap-forward growth path. First-class products, first-class companies and first-class people all have a long process of learning and cognitive accumulation before they leap.

2. Learn a variety of online learning methods. For example, books, paid knowledge platforms, and finding experts.

(3) Wanwei Port

In the preface, Wan Weigang first exposed a background phenomenon: reading behavior brings unfair competitive advantage. Therefore, teacher Wan Weigang advocates that we should make full use of the tools of the new era and learn to outsource the brain, and how to outsource the brain is exactly what this book wants to convey to everyone. Teacher Wan Weigang made three suggestions on how to use this book:

1, created on the basis of imitation. You can't learn blindly, and you can't blindly accept the experience shared by others. We should create on the basis of imitation.

This book is a reference book about business methods. It is suggested that every reader should use the methods in the book to practice in his career with a business mentality. Without practical environment, it is useless to learn more dry goods and methods.

This book is a comprehensive methodology book. We don't need to master all the methods. Maybe if you do one thing in the book to the extreme, you can beat most people.

(d) What does the classic work say in the preface?

Think from a puzzle: why is the contribution and return of people not proportional?

This book will explain personal achievements and success from a sociological perspective. Classical once wrote "tearing down the wall in thinking". This time, it is not enough to tear down the wall. The classical teacher will lead us to tear down the ceiling.

Classically, don't close the door to suppress big moves, but use laws and trends to amplify personal efforts.

Second, gallop around the world to interpret this book.

The logic of the book, I think, conforms to the classic model of potential, Tao and technique.

Potential: refers to the situation, representing the ability to judge the environment and background.

Tao: refers to strategy, which is principle and thought, and represents the decision-making power of the subject.

Skill: refers to tactics, which is an operation technique and represents execution.

This book has five chapters. In the first chapter, I classified it as a potential part. The second chapter is Tao, and the third, fourth and fifth chapters are art.

(1) potential: Chapter 1 makes good use of the underlying laws of the times and grasps the master's black box.

1. Today's era has entered the era of mobile Internet, and many traditional cognitive styles have changed. The mobile Internet has brought about rapid changes in the connection mode and speed of the whole society, and even changed the operation structure and mode of many societies and organizations.

Classical summed up three changes in the book:

The change of cognitive style: calling knowledge instead of memorizing it;

The change of thinking mode: from independent thinking to online independent thinking;

The change of core competitiveness: man-machine integration.

2. Through the example of painters using black box projection to assist painting, the classic question is: Do masters in various fields also have their own black boxes?

With this question in mind, Classical proposed that the purpose of this book is to find out which black boxes are used behind the success of the master.

No one has achieved great success just by hard work, talent and opportunity. Leap-forward successfully uses the underlying laws and stimulates the leap-forward growth of individuals.

3. Transition has three progressive processes, namely, cognitive transition, ability transition and energy level transition.

(2) Tao: The second chapter, choose the strategic mode of the master, and look for few but fine things.

This chapter tells every growing learner that to find high-value fields, we must learn to choose the right things to do, that is, "fewer but better" things. I was deeply impressed by two examples in the book. One is the story of baseball player Ted, who doesn't hit every ball when he hits the ball. Instead, choose to play with high probability and learn to wait for a good ball. The second story is the story of Warren Buffett. During Buffett's investment career, he insisted on an idea: only invest in high-value, iterative and trench companies, and not pursue short-term interests. Baseball players Ted and Buffett both chose the same strategy, that is, the master strategy: looking for high-value areas, focusing on strategies, and winning in the most sure way.

What is a high-value area? The power law distribution summarizes this law. Power law distribution has two main characteristics: one is highly uneven, and the other is fractal. The power law tells us that we need to find the leverage point, which is what we usually call grasping the key points.

After entering the high-value zone, we should strive to find our own dominant position. High value+high advantage is the head effect mentioned in classic books. Individuals and enterprises should strive to enter the head area if they want to seek leap-forward development.

(3) Skills: In the third, fourth and fifth chapters, the transition is realized by establishing online learning mode, improving broken thinking and cultivating inner mind.

Chapter 345 is the art part of this book. Classics explain a lot of transition methods for us.

1, online learning: looking for knowledge sources and improving cognitive efficiency. In terms of learning methods, it introduces utilitarian reading method, knowledge crystal extraction method, online learning method, lifelong questioning method method and knowledge IPO method.

Utilitarian reading method: With practical problems to be solved, through efficient allocation of learning resources, efficient reading method (refer to other books for specific speed reading method) is adopted for reading and learning.

Extraction of knowledge crystal: With this method, I believe readers can see many crystal theories summarized by others in their study, such as SWOT analysis, SMART principle, 2K5E model and so on. The crystallization of knowledge forms a crystal structure of scattered knowledge points through structural association, which is convenient for yourself and others to extract and use.

Online learning method: make yourself a router of knowledge and acquire new knowledge through learning and communication with peers and across borders. The important abilities of online learning are questioning ability and integration ability. The good problem is the engine, which is integrated into your own knowledge system through online learning.

Life-long questioning method: Learning knowledge centered on problem tree. The classical teacher suggested making a list of questions instead of books. Promote learning and practice through problem-driven.

Knowledge IPO method:

I: Input questions to solve problems continuously;

P: integrate multidisciplinary knowledge to solve problems;

O: export products, and make learning productized through curriculum development and writing.

The method of IPO is to reverse the input through the output.

2. Broken thinking: Broken thinking requires us to jump out of the low-dimensional system and solve it through holistic system thinking and ascending thinking. The five key words of game breaking method are: dimension upgrade, system, cycle, hierarchy and control point.

A. dimension upgrade: we should jump from first-order change to second-order change. The first order change is the state change in the system, and the second order change is the mode change.

B. system: the system includes three elements: elements, relationships and functions. Relationships are more important than elements. Changes in the relationship structure will form second-order changes. The two most important system relationships are space-time relationship and spatial relationship.

C. Cycle: Cycle is a time-dependent system. The classic summarizes four growth engines-positive circulation loop and four death spirals-negative circulation loop for us.

Four growth engines: good habits, knowledge IPO from interest training to ability training, rapid learning, and trust cycle of enterprise management.

Four death spirals: poorer and poorer, under-investment, workaholic cycle, and over-expression.

D. Level: The self-management system of high-performance personnel is a tower of high performance, including resource level, method level and goal level. According to this high-efficiency diligence tower, it can also be divided into three layers, namely:

The first level: work hard and put all your time, money and energy into your study.

The second level: diligence in methodology. The problem you met today has been experienced by others and a better solution has been found. All you have to do is study. The learning growth methodology that can be practiced includes time management, energy management, project management, learning methods, knowledge management and so on.

The third level: fewer goals and strategic diligence.

E. Control points: The essence of control points is to properly split the objectives, establish a multi-level distribution system, and control the achievement of the final objectives through multi-level objectives.

3. Internal cultivation: the key driving force for transformation is ourselves. In the last chapter, the classical teacher put forward four methods:

Facing the world: open and focused.

Face yourself: plain and interesting. Dull means that under certain circumstances, we don't have to act quickly. If we slow down properly, we can get better results than fast. Which scenes need to be slowed down, we need to filter according to our own situation. Interesting. Being curious can reduce anxiety and gain more perspectives.

Face others: simplicity and kindness can irritate people.

Facing uncertainty: kindness.
