"So, I began to live in the first place. When I heard this curse, I went to the eighth place. When I am happy, I swear that if I come to someone who can benefit and comfort all sentient beings, I will have thousands of hands and feet in an instant. Hair is a wish, when thousands of hands and eyes are full, six kinds of vibrations in ten directions, thousands of Buddha photos in ten directions, touching my body and shining on the world in ten directions. " ("Thousands of hands and thousands of eyes, the sound of avalokitesvara is mighty and complete, and great compassion is clear, and great compassion classics")
"Thousands of hands and eyes" has the meaning of expression. "Thousands of hands" means infinity and perfection, and Guanyin Bodhisattva's "thousands of hands" means that all sentient beings are taken care of, which also means that Guanyin Bodhisattva's compassion is boundless and vast; "Thousand eyes" means to see the world all over, and it also means that Guanyin Bodhisattva is full of wisdom. Dalagni Classic says that avalokitesvara with thousands of hands and eyes can benefit all sentient beings, and take all sentient beings as an opportunity to adopt five methods to satisfy all wishes.
There are six Guanyin, seven Guanyin and thirty-three Guanyin. Six avalokitesvara Bodhisattvas are six avalokitesvara Bodhisattvas who teach six Tao. The six avalokitesvara bodhisattvas in esoteric religion include avalokitesvara with thousand hands, avalokitesvara with holy hands, avalokitesvara with horsehead, avalokitesvara with Zhunti and avalokitesvara with wishful wheels. According to the division of labor, avalokitesvara is responsible for educating the underworld. Perhaps there are too many beings in the hell, and the situation is more complicated. So avalokitesvara wishes to have thousands of hands and eyes, so avalokitesvara has thousands of eyes, thousands of hands, thousands of tongues and thousands of arms. So, what do so many eyes of Guanyin Bodhisattva represent? What secrets do so many people have?
There are great changes in the image, posture, object holding and seal of Guanyin with thousands of hands and eyes, mainly on three sides and eleven sides, while there are two, four, eight, twenty-five, forty hands on the arm, and some of them are made into thousands of hands. Avalokitesvara statues with thousands of hands and eyes began in the Tang Dynasty, and the avalokitesvara statues with thousands of hands and eyes can be roughly divided into two types.
First, there are thousands of hands and eyes, and its typical statue is Dai, wearing a Buddha crown, with three eyes on the face, a thousand hands on the arm and a thousand hands on the palm. Thousands of hands are divided into eight hands, with the largest hand, the second hand closed, and the other six hands each holding instruments; Forty hands, slightly smaller, it is reported that the second hands are crossed, and the other 38 hold their own tools; Incarnate 952 hands, all holding weapons.
There is also a simplified avalokitesvara with thousands of hands and eyes, which is actually avalokitesvara with forty hands and thousands of eyes. Most statues have two eyes and two hands on the front, and 20 hands on the left and right, each with one eye. Among them, there are two hands, one is the hand of nectar, the other is the fearless hand, and the other 38 hands are holding the artifact.
According to Dalagni's Classic of Great Compassion, the things held by these 40 hands or their palms are: Shi Wuwei, Rimani, Moon Mani, Bao Bow, Bao Arrow, Military Commander (Bottle), Bai Fu, Bao Aquarius, Pang Pai, Yue Axe, Bao Staff, Several Beads, Sword and King Kong.
Why use forty hands instead of thousands? The Secret Dharma Sutra of Thousand-Eye Bodhisattvas says: "In the Samadhi light, there are twenty-five Bodhisattvas, with eleven faces on the top, forty hands in each body, and one kind eye in each palm." It turns out that twenty-five Bodhisattvas each have forty hands, making up a thousand hands and a thousand eyes. This is the origin of forty second-hand Guanyin modeling.
Avalokitesvara has eleven sides. According to the Supplementary Survey of Buddha Statue translated by A Qing worker Bujiabu, Guanyin can also be divided into three types: dharma body, body report and incarnation. There are eight avalokitesvara bodhisattvas, eleven on the top, forty avalokitesvara bodhisattvas and 952 avalokitesvara bodhisattvas, which are thousands of hands. Eleven avalokitesvara in Tibet are all 1 1 overlapping. The avalokitesvara is made into a radial three-layer circular sector, and the 48 avalokitesvara have their own objects, which is extremely complicated and exquisite. The remaining 952 hands, holding nothing, all swore. "Eyes in the palm, jagged look at each other, one by one. All the arms are smooth and round, just like blooming lotus flowers, which do not interfere with each other. "
As for the karma of Guanyin Bodhisattva with thousands of hands and eyes, according to the Great Compassion Sutra, thousands of people robbed Wang Jing of living in Tathagata in the past and took care of all sentient beings. Therefore, the general public's great compassion for Dalagni is completely innocent. As soon as Guanyin Bodhisattva heard this mantra, she surpassed the eighth place from the beginning and was delighted with her own experience, so she made a big wish to have thousands of hands and eyes to benefit all sentient beings and to have thousands of hands and eyes on herself.
"Great pessimism, thousand hands, eyes also complex. As a parent in the world, he can give wishes to all beings. " "Thousand" stands for infinity and perfection. "Thousand hands" symbolizes the boundless convenience of this Guanyin compassion and altruism, and "Thousand eyes" symbolizes that the wisdom of observing the root of the machine should be materialized and guided without hindrance. On February 19 of the lunar calendar, on the birthday of Avalokitesvara, Feng arranged a ceremony to invite all netizens and Buddhist friends to recite the holy name of Avalokitesvara and praise her various merits. The southern Guanyin Bodhisattva has no great compassion!
Guanyin Bodhisattva occupies a very important position in Buddhism. Some people say that this Guanyin belongs to China, while others say that he is foreign. Some people say he is a man, others say he is a woman.
Now I tell you that this Guanyin Bodhisattva is neither a native of China nor a foreigner.
Where is he from? He is vanity, all over the dharma world, where there is his belonging, where there is no. He should appear with the whole class, and he will show what the body should be like. So avalokitesvara is not necessarily.
This avalokitesvara, who also showed the Buddha's body to all sentient beings who should become Buddhas, now shows the Buddha's body to all sentient beings who should become Bodhisattvas, and now shows the Heavenly King's body to all sentient beings. In short, Guanyin Bodhisattva will show what kind of body this sentient being should be to tell this sentient being.
In Buddhism, avalokitesvara goes everywhere to educate all beings. So he wants to show bodhicitta to all sentient beings, and first look at what the sentient beings are happy about and say. This person was also happy when he heard this, so he took this sentient being away. Therefore, Guanyin Bodhisattva is not necessarily male or female. He is also a male body and a female body, but both are changing. Avalokitesvara's body does not move like a Buddha. Guanyin Bodhisattva became a Buddha a long time ago, and the Buddha's name is "Faming Buddha".
