"What to write" and "How to write"
It seems ridiculous, even absurd, to comment on what and how calligraphers should write. Because since I got married, I have naturally learned countless ancient posts, and I have memorized all the aphorisms and aphorisms of Tang poetry and Song poetry. There are also many people who are good at improvisation and have poor memory. I have to get a small notebook to write down some used words in case of emergency, or I can simply buy a book published by a publishing house, such as Essential Ink Field, in case of emergency, so it can't be a problem. Recently, I met something that I didn't think was a problem, but it might become a "problem". A friend of a local parent invited me to visit a large local private enterprise and asked me to write some words and carve them on some newly placed boulders in the factory. I sincerely say that my calligraphy dare not make a fool of myself, but I can ask Mo Bao, a famous calligrapher in the provincial capital. I thought it was a piece of cake, but when I saw what the boss decided, I felt it was more difficult, because the content was not only vulgar, but also superstitious. According to the boss, this content was selected by a "master of the Book of Changes", which is conducive to the prosperity of enterprises. I will admit that this "master of the Book of Changes" knows nothing about the Book of Changes. These contents have nothing to do with the Book of Changes, and are not suitable for enterprises or calligraphers. If I ask a calligrapher to write, the content must be approved by me. I think the content is consistent with the form. The boss thought that as long as he was willing to pay, he could let the calligrapher write whatever he wanted, but he didn't expect the calligrapher to pay attention to what he wrote. Fortunately, my parents and friends stood on my side, and also denied the content selected by the "I ching master" and persuaded the boss to let me draw up the content. I told my boss that since you like the Book of Changes, I will choose some famous sayings and aphorisms from the Book of Changes for you. So, I wrote some, explained them one by one, and gave them modern meanings related to enterprises. The boss finally accepted them, and I was happy to invite several calligraphers to write separately. My parents are quite satisfied with this, and think these inscriptions are conducive to enhancing corporate culture. This incident deeply touched me and further realized that calligraphers can't just be writing tools. As long as they pay, they can write whatever they want. They should have their own humanistic ideals and cultural bottom line. In the old society, literati who made a living by selling words even had some rules, such as "rotten paper is not a book, and communication is not perfect." There are many restrictions on "unable to write" when browsing the retouching of some calligraphers in the Republic of China. For example, Fan Fanshan's "Four Books Don't Write": Communication Don't Write; Two paragraphs are not books; Rotten paper is not a book; Do not make an appointment. Kang Youwei's "double the number of gold notes, half the number of color notes, and the number of words is limited." Declare bad paper instead of books. Shou Ping keeps his words, and nothing is unwritten. No more ink or ink stains. ""rotten paper doesn't make books, oil fans don't make books, autumn fans don't make books, wax notes don't make books, and small letters don't make books. Ye Gongchuo's rotten paper is not a book, Shou Ping is not a book, and the tablet is another discussion. "Liu Yazi" moistens ink first, not inferior paper, and adds 10% ink grinding fee "and so on. Then, our calligraphers generally have no worries about food and clothing, so they should check the writing content. At the same time, we also realize that some business owners do a lot of business, but their understanding of China's traditional culture is different, and some of them are actually superficial. Calligraphers should not only write and sell money, but also bear the responsibility of spreading culture and popularizing knowledge, and help entrepreneurs improve their cultural level by writing for enterprises. Maybe we can't exaggerate the teaching function and aesthetic function of calligraphy, but at least we should believe that calligraphy has a subtle influence on the cultivation of people's minds, which means it is quite important. There is another reason why I feel this way from a small matter. I once found a calligrapher with a wild way, who especially liked to write banners such as "Good luck" and "Good luck", because such content catered to the psychology of some bosses and could fetch a good price. It is said that he wrote the word "auspicious" on a piece of paper four feet square, which can sell tens of thousands, and proudly claimed that his embellishment surpassed the first-class famous artists. I believe that there will definitely be a boss who will buy his words, not a word, but "lewd". Of course, it does not rule out that the boss knows nothing about the pros and cons of calligraphy. But I believe that real calligraphers are disdainful of this and are unwilling to associate their names with "auspiciousness" and "good luck". If he is keen on it, then no matter how much money he earns, he can only be a craftsman.
