1. Daily Science Fiction Association of Tongji University
Tongji University Daily Science Fiction Association is the home base for science fiction and fantasy fans in Tongji University and the only school-level fantasy literature society in Tongji University. Since its establishment in March 2007, it has hosted many large-scale events on campus, and has invited famous domestic science fiction and fantasy writers such as Pan Haitian (Dajiao), Jin Hezai, Chu Xidao, and Xie Yunning. The association is committed to promoting exchanges among Tongji University science fiction fans and between science fiction fans and writers. The association has a large number of science fiction and fantasy books for members to borrow for free.
2. Tongji English Corner
The predecessor of Tongji English Corner (TEC) was the English Corner founded by Mr. Peng Haigui in the faculty cafeteria in 1994. Later, successive Tongji students took over the management, and gradually developed and expanded, becoming one of the most prestigious English corners among universities in Northeastern Shanghai. Corner (Tuesday afternoon) together, it has become the three major bases for English-loving learners to practice speaking and make friends with outstanding people.
TEC is the abbreviation of Tongji English Corner, which also means Thursday English Candle (Thursday Candlelight English Night). TEC represents three words respectively: Talent (talent), Enthusiasm (enthusiasm), and Confidence (confidence), which are also the concentrated expression of the personality of all TEC people.
3. Calligraphy Association
The Calligraphy Association has a long history in Tongji. The Tongji University Calligraphy Association and the Tongji University Student Food Management Committee hold meetings on the annual "World Food Day and National Food Love Day" The "Food Festival Cup" calligraphy competition will be jointly held during the "Food Promotion Week", which has a wide impact on the calligraphy circle in Shanghai. Every year's award-winning works receive higher ranks and rankings in the evaluations of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association and even the Chinese Calligraphers Association. The Student Catering Management Committee and the Calligraphy Association have a long history of cooperation. As early as 1998 to 1999, Dai Zusheng, director of the third Student Catering Management Committee of Tongji University and the then president of the Calligraphy Association, organized all students in the school to make frames for the dining halls of various cafeterias on campus. There were more than a hundred pieces of calligraphy and painting, and the students actively participated in writing to beautify the dining environment and cultivate the sentiments of Tongji students.
