The auspicious bridge in Hepo Town, a famous town in eastern Guangdong, was built across the river. In the past, the Hengjiang River in the upper reaches of Rongjiang River was called Xinbutan. At that time, the water in the pond was too deep to wade through. Zhang Jingzan, a villager in Xijiao Village, built two wooden bridges and crossed them when the water rose. /kloc-in the summer of 0/927, flash floods broke out, resulting in the destruction of bridges, the capsizing of ships and the death of people. Later, the auspicious grandson built the auspicious bridge with cement and steel bars. Since then, the fate of this bridge has been closely linked with the fate of people in Hepo Town and Shancheng City.
Its strangeness lies in its name first. Aid, relief; The two words "Xiang" and "Help" have similar meanings, so it is difficult to help each other, which shows that the name of this bridge is "Ai" and the word "Auspicious" is only the name of the initiator. In addition, this bridge was the first bridge donated by people in eastern Guangdong at that time, and its completion date was publicly reported by Guangzhou Daily. On the outside of the middle section of the bridge, Yu Youren, a great poet and famous calligrapher, wrote the word "Auspicious Bridge". There are couplets at the east and west bridges, and in the east, "Gathering resources and benefiting the economy ends in the ancient town of Hu Aixiang" was written by Zheng Hongnian, then president of Jinan University. On the west side, "Helping the people to climb the other shore and help the people to prosper Rongjiang" was written by Tie Chan, the president of the Guangdong Buddhist Association and a famous monk in modern times. Curiosity is also called "Jixiang" and its name is also called "Jixiang". A history of Chinese bridge construction is written by these "auspiciousness".
What makes it unique is its age. From generation to generation, it is an old grandfather; Judging from experience, he is an old-timer If it was started in the spring of 1928 and rebuilt in the summer of 20 1 1, it would be 83 years. When you are old, you naturally have old practices. In those days, the design and construction were all led by auspicious sons Li Min, Zhang, Zhang Zizhi and others. Because there is no machinery, they all rely on manpower, shoulder to shoulder, diving to dig the foundation, and taking pains to compete for volunteers. It lasted for 4 years and was completed on February 2 1 day of the 65432 lunar calendar. From then on, it stood tall in the river, regardless of the wind and rain, mountain torrents and the steep rise of the river, it roared, it "occupied" and "stood still" and was full of vitality. If it weren't for my ignorance, I'm afraid the flooded bridge deck never happened, but for a long time, Jixiang Bridge was out of service. This bridge is very old, but it is too old, so it is becoming more and more popular with the shepherds.
Its strength lies in its magnificent momentum. The bridge is 90 meters long, 4.8 meters wide and 13 meters high. Two piers and three holes, the cement railing is 2.8 meters high. There is a lion sculpture outside the bridge fence, and the bridge art sculpture is very grand. The difference between this antique flat bridge and ordinary bridge lies in its high transparent railing, which looks like a railway bridge from a distance. By the way, I remember, it looked a bit like the concentrated Yalu River Bridge. Since this discovery, I have crossed the auspicious bridge again, adding "heroic spirit" to my original majestic feeling.
Its strength lies in its unshakable. Throughout the ages, Lin Xiu is beautiful, and the wind will destroy it. Presumably, natural disasters and man-made disasters should try this auspicious bridge. First, on May 1939, the bridge was bombed by Japanese planes invading China, and a hole with a diameter of nearly 1 m was blown through the middle deck, but the bones and muscles of the bridge were not damaged. Later, it was a severe test of the 1970 catastrophic flood, and the bridge did not move. The mystery of the flood control of the bridge lies in that the bridge deck was several meters above the ground when it was designed, and there were 13 steps on the east and west sides of the bridge, which was called "overpass" at that time. Because of this, the impact of many floods was avoided. After decades of vicissitudes, today the bridge deck is the same as the street, which shows the designer's vision and courage.
There are many stories about auspicious bridge, and chivalrous tenderness is the choice. It is not only a bridge to benefit the people, but also a bridge to connect the hearts of villagers; It witnessed the river slope changing from a backward town into a beautiful mountain city with an active economy and a large population, and entrusted the dreams of several generations. Because of the bridge, the story, the poem and the painting, the Hepo people have a lot of elegance and happiness. Every hot summer, if you take a walk on both sides of Jixiang Bridge and have a look, you will be surprised. Drinking tea, chatting, talking about "antiquity", playing the strings and singing folk songs, like catching up with a temple fair, is really a pleasure.
After all, a bridge is a building, which has its own warranty period and its own service period. On July 8, 2008, the long-awaited Jixiang Bridge was finally built and the riverbed was cut off. Under the impact of catastrophic mountain torrents, it tilted and sank, becoming a dangerous bridge. At this time, I thought of Guo Moruo's early masterpiece "Phoenix Nirvana": "Five hundred years later, Ji Xiangmu set himself on fire and was reborn. It tastes great, unusual, and he will never die again. " I hope that the auspicious bridge can be snatched back and can be "nirvana" and "reborn" like a phoenix.
I hope to change my behavior and open up a new path. The Jiexi County Party Committee and the county government attached great importance to the reconstruction of Jixiang Bridge and established the "Preparatory Group for the Reconstruction of Hepo Jixiang Bridge". Zhang Jixiang's grandson raised 3 million yuan to build this bridge, and construction started on September 28th, 20 10. This incident touched the hearts of fellow villagers at home and abroad. Zhang Kentang, a famous folklorist, writer, poet and 93-year-old close relative, returned to his hometown from Malaysia and personally visited the construction site. He said emotionally, "Building the auspicious bridge is a great event that I have always dreamed of. As an overseas traveler, I feel that there is no light on my face. " The original style of the bridge is basically maintained, but in order to adapt to the development of the times, the width of the bridge deck is expanded to 7.65 meters. After careful design and construction by bridge-building engineers and technicians, the bridge was rebuilt and completed on September 4, 20 1 1, and an "auspicious pavilion" was built on the east side of the bridge to show good deeds and inspire future generations.
After nirvana, Auspicious Bridge once again attracted the attention of Chinese people and ushered in its new glory. Chi Haotian, the former deputy general of chairman of the Central Military Commission in Beijing, was very excited after hearing the news. He wrote down the three characters of "auspicious pavilion" and sent it to Jiexi Mountain City. It is embedded in the magnificent auspicious pavilion at the bridge head, spreading its wings like a phoenix, shining brightly, making everyone feel glorious and proud.
I stood in front of the new auspicious bridge, my heart swept across the river, and a sense of sadness came to me. Life is short, but career is short. From this bridge, we can think of this society and this world. Don't all things in the world often experience such nirvana rebirth?
