Jingmen has a long history and rich cultural heritage. After Jingmen became a provincial-level municipality in 1983, the municipal government began planning for Longquan Park. It was designed in 1986 and was briefly opened to the public in early 1987. The famous figure Lao Laizi in the Spring and Autumn Period, Huang Tingjian, the great calligrapher of Lu Guimeng in the Tang and Song Dynasties, the three scholars of the Su family, Lu Jiuyuan, and even the cultural heritage of the anti-Japanese nobles in modern times. The whole garden is surrounded by mountains and rivers. With Xiangshan Mountain (called Mengshan Mountain before the Southern Song Dynasty) as the center, we have made full use of the unique cultural and natural landscape and geographical location to create the realm of "Jimu Chutianshu". There are scenic spots such as Huaxia Art Garden, Languang Pavilion, Laolaizi Villa (Twenty-four Filial Piety Museum), Xiaoyin Pavilion, Guande Pavilion, Yangzhi Pavilion and other attractions on the mountain. Huaxia Yilin Garden was built in 1993 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the founding of the city and hold the Huaxia Yilin Art Festival. Longquan Academy is located on the bank of Wenming Lake. It was built in the 19th year of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1754 AD). It is an institution with a long history and is famous in Jianghan. The original layout of the academy consisted of three halls, two halls, two rooms, and two pavilions. One hundred and thirty years later, two floors were added. After the imperial examination system was abolished in my country, Longquan Academy was renamed Longquan Middle School in the 32nd year of Guangxu (1906 AD). The four clear springs at the eastern foot of Longquan Xiangshan Mountain are gurgling. The spring water flows into Wenming Lake, and then flows into the Zhupi River, passing through the city and entering the Han River in the east. These are the four famous springs in Xiangshan Mountain that are famous in Jianghan: Long, Meng, Hui, Shun. Lao Laizi Villa is the manor where Lao Laizi, a famous Chinese philosopher and founder of the Taoist school during the Spring and Autumn Period, lived in seclusion and farmed his life to support his parents.
