Dahongpao is another name for several series of paintings edited and published, such as China Modern Famous Paintings, China Modern Calligraphy Masters, China Modern Famous Paintings and China Modern Oil Painting Masters. These sets of paintings are bound with a solemn "China Red" gold-plated envelope, which is commonly called "Dahongpao" by painting circles and publishing houses. The publication of Dahongpao began in the 1990s and was published by People's Fine Arts Society.
It was printed and published in traditional Chinese characters in Taiwan Province province and distributed in simplified Chinese characters in Chinese mainland, which was all the rage.
