Study experience

I started to get into calligraphy in the first year of high school that year. Calligraphy is not just about writing. There are too many things in it that can’t be explained clearly in one or two sentences, nor is it something to rush for success. Listen. When you are a calligraphy student, don’t think that you are just a writer, look at the picture below

I remember when I was learning calligraphy, I thought that the teacher would let us write as soon as we started. In fact, this was not the case. The teacher first introduced the calligraphy-related Calligraphy tools such as copybooks, brushes, ink butterflies, rough paper, etc. can teach us to write after the introduction. However, the teacher asked us to draw lines and long horizontal and vertical lines. In order to let us master the performance of the brush, there are also I just drew mosquito coils and practiced my ability to turn the pen on my wrist. I went on like this for several days. In that summer when the air conditioner was broken and the ink smelled, I was sweating. I will never forget it. ?

After practicing the lines, the teacher asked us to start writing seal script. Because seal script is composed of lines, the homework we wrote at that time was thrown away and nothing was left. At first, we wrote on a piece of rough paper. To increase the difficulty, I connected three pieces of rough-edged paper to write and hung them on the wall. At that time, I often heard the teacher say that I was afraid of writing on the wall. Why? Because when the writing was hung up, you would start to see any flaws at a glance. The teacher often commented like this Operation.

I went to school later. I still remember that every Tuesday and Thursday evening self-study and Saturday and Sunday are the time to practice calligraphy. The school only has one calligraphy building, and we high school sophomores can only practice calligraphy. I practiced in the basement of the school. I only started going to the calligraphy building in my senior year. At that time, I was particularly envious of their senior year. When I returned to school, I started practicing Cao Quan Monument. Cao Quan Monument is very soft and beautiful, haha, it is a very beautiful official script. It is also very suitable for beginners to learn. The basement at that time was very dark, with drafts leaking from all directions, and the conditions were very difficult, but it also left many good memories.

Let me post a picture of the calligraphy building. I was studying in the small room on the second floor. Now I remember that I learned my first running script here, the Preface to the Collection of Kings and Saints. It was very difficult to write at that time. I don't go to eat in the afternoon and practice calligraphy in the calligraphy building. In fact, I also have the experience of making 90% of the palace monuments in school. I was the first to learn regular script. I couldn’t cut the pen and it took me several days of practice to learn it. Maybe I am too good at it. There are also various posts about intensive training. There are many kinds. Of course, calligraphy is not something that happens overnight. Learning calligraphy also includes literature, seal cutting, traditional Chinese painting, etc. There are many things, so don't think of calligraphy as simple writing. The road is long and long, and I will explore it up and down. ? You have to persist in practicing calligraphy. Persistence will pay off.
