Interpretation of calligraphy content of Heart Sutra

Classic name

The general idea of the whole passage is "the fundamental way to get rid of secular suffering through broad-minded wisdom." "Maha": boundless and magnanimous [1]. It is a metaphor for the laws and characteristics between everything in the universe and nature, which is roughly equivalent to the Tao and life in a broad sense referred to by China traditional culture. "Prajna" is a Sanskrit transliteration, which means understanding wonderful wisdom; "Polo" is a Sanskrit transliteration, which refers to the other side (neither born nor destroyed, nor filthy), meaning to get rid of obstacles; Mido is a Sanskrit transliteration, which means infinity. Can be associated, such as bees picking flowers to make honey, can be combined with many different sources of ingredients into one. "Heart": root, nucleus and essence. On the one hand, it shows the main focus of the content, on the other hand, it also shows the importance of the whole content. "Jing": the word means line, road and diameter, and it is extended to Jing. Representing the previous path, unique and in-depth experience or insight is an excuse to pass on the language or written records to future generations for people to use as a reference guide.
