On the back, there is a poem "frost and snow alone, knowing oneself in an empty heart". The writing style is vigorous and chic, and the inscription is "West" and "Garden".
Xiyuan is also the word of Gao (1683- 1749), a famous painter in Qing Dynasty, or refers to the elegant collection of Xiyuan. In the Song Dynasty, Mi Fei wrote an article entitled "Elegant Pictures of the West Garden", which described the gathering of famous poets, writers, painters and painters such as Su Shi, Wang Shen, Mi Fei, Huang Tingjian, Qin Guan and Liu Juji in Fuxi Garden. Li, a famous painter, called this painting "An Elegant Collection of West Gardens". Mi Fei wrote down the characters' names, clothes, ways of sitting and lying, and the quiet and spacious environment around them. From then on, "Elegant Collection of the West Garden" has become a common theme in the history of painting to describe the affairs of literati. Su Shi, who attended the meeting, once had a famous saying, "Wild chrysanthemums give birth to autumn streams, and I know when my heart is empty", which is quite suitable for the theme of painting chrysanthemums in this pen container.
