What kind of organization is China Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association?

China Painting and Calligraphy Artists Association was established on New Year's Day in 2009. It is a social organization (NGO) with independent legal personality approved by the state. Its main purpose is to collect membership fees for profit. At present, there are only two most authoritative calligraphy and painting associations in China. They are China Artists Association and China Calligraphers Association.
