cultured
Gui Zhichun devoted himself to the study of Shi Guwen, and made a detailed clean-up of various annotations of 1300 years ago. He expressed his contradictory views with Guo Moruo in "My humble opinion on the chronology of Shi Guwen-Three Mysteries". With the encouragement of Qian Zhonglian, a teacher from Suzhou University, Gui Zhichun took this article to participate in the first National Composition Competition for Chinese Learners (1985) and finally won the second prize.
In this competition, Gui Zhichun made friends with Zhong Zhen of Xiling Press. Gradually, Gui Zhichun sprouted the desire to join Xiling Printing Society. Under the guidance of Zhong Zhenzhen, Gui Zhichun wrote the paper "Inheritance and Innovation of Yushan School Seal Cutting" and applied for membership in Xiling Printing Society many times, but all ended in failure.
1995, Gui Zhichun wrote "Shi Guwen's Calligraphy Mistakes", arguing that Wu Changshuo, who is famous for writing Shi Guwen, did not fully study Shi Guwen itself. He hesitated to publish this view, and later thought: Xiling Printing Society will not approve him to join the society, so publish it. So this article was serialized in two issues in China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper. Unexpectedly, the article caught the attention of Xiling Publishing House. After research, Xiling Publishing House approved Gui Zhichun's application for membership. After many twists and turns, the process of joining Xiling printing society in the spring of rejuvenation finally came to fruition.
Looking for an art garden
In spring, he studied printing, first from Huang Yi, then from Zhaojia to Deng Sanmu. I was deeply impressed by the artistic works and personality of Zhao, a famous Indian school in Xinyu Mountain. Chen of Xiling Publishing House commented on his printing: "Between Zhao and Zhao".
In the 1960s, he participated in Changshu CPPCC Poetry and Painting Group, and his carefully created Eighteen Scenes of Yushan was well received. When the special period came and the CPPCC Jinshi Group was forced to stop its activities, Gui Zhichun was still secretly promoting the way of printing books. In the hard and humble life, Gui Zhichun insisted on writing and drinking, and every time the paper ran out of ink, she slept with her clothes.
From 65438 to 0988, he and his colleagues in seal cutting initiated the establishment of Yushan Printing Society to foster new people. The publishing house published and edited Zhao Printing Collection and Yushan Printing Society Members' Works Collection. He has compiled the printed spectrum of famous historical figures in Changshu, China Famous Building Seal (Handprinted Edition), Zhao Chronology and Addendum, etc. It fills the gap in the school history and local literature of Xinyu Shanyin.
In terms of theoretical research, Gui Zhichun has published more than 20 papers on epigraphy, seal cutting and calligraphy at home and abroad, and compiled them into research works such as Shi Guwen's Notes on 300 Words and Shi Guwen's Notes on Counterfeiting. He also quoted the classics and combined with the interpretation of Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Jinwen, chose Shi Guwen's 168, extended 477 words, and integrated more than 20 metrical poems with stone drums.
