Happy New Year and communicate with friends. Someone asked, did you make a typo? It should be a landscape painting. How do you call it a painting? Drawing sketches, painting watercolors...Why do we use the word "write"? Let's talk about it slowly. This is the core difference between Chinese painting and other types of painting. I am not very good at expressing myself through words. I like to speak in plain and humorous language. Let's not talk about those "Six Methods of Sheikh" and "Five Pens and Seven Inks". They are mysterious and will not be talked about.
Color on paper, 100X50 cm. The blue sky is cloudless and the moon is bright in the autumn sky. The Taoist in the forest is quiet and looks at each other with great joy.
Let's start: the intention is to write first, make a rough draft first, use light ink lines to find the position, you can also use a pencil if you are not sure. It's best not to use ink to draw, but to practice calligraphy. Use grinding to make the ink lively and layered.
The skeleton is set up and the content is starting to be filled in. The photos taken at night may not be very clear. Mountains and rocks develop from bottom to top, and are drawn first. Freehand or small freehand must be written with a calligraphy pen, so practice calligraphy more often. It should be written with the feeling and brushwork of calligraphy, commonly known as "jianbi". Then 'cramp' and add meat. Use the phase method, that is, the way of yin and yang, without talking about light and dark. Don't worry about the light, just add 'blood' to make the rocks richer.
Painting trees is the key. It is better to learn "Mustard Seed Garden Painting Manual" by yourself. Qi Baishi and many other people started from this. It is best to do it with your back to the point where the meaning comes out. What's inside, how should I put it, Chinese painting is a system of pen and ink language. In the beginning, it’s like memorizing vocabulary words when learning English. After you become proficient, you can study ancient paintings again. From the Ming Dynasty... it's far away. To draw a tree, start from the tree and draw downward. There should not be too many varieties, just four or five kinds of trees are enough. How to arrange the tree method will be discussed later.
When dotting rocks with moss, the basic ratio of ink dots is "save three and gather five" and do not average it out. Near between two rocks, the root and top of the tree. The density should be appropriate, dense but not chaotic, and dots should overlap. For the accumulation of ink method, please refer to Huang Qiuyuan’s usage.
If it is ink and light color, 90% of the painting is done, and 10% is left for coloring. If it is not colored at this time, add a layer of light ink, and it will be a black and white ink painting. Note that all procedures must be done with calligraphy pens, and coloring is done stroke by stroke, not painted, which is different from watercolor painting. If you apply it with brush strokes, without brushwork, there will be no ancient charm. The key point!
It is not difficult to practice individually on people, houses, boats, etc. When it is almost finished, hang it on the wall to see modifications and adjustments from a distance. If you want to make major changes, redraw it.
The title should be consistent and coordinated with the brushwork. Stamped and completed. On the lower left is the leisure chapter "Good intentions to prolong life", and on the upper right is the seal "Yutao" and "Banqiao".
This is my first time posting like this. There is not much writing in it. I have thoughts in my heart that I cannot express. I will make up for it later. Other techniques will be involved during this period, which must be discussed separately later. When I usually paint, I sweat while listening to music without thinking much. Haha, come and make bricks, you’re welcome.
