Modern calligrapher Shen Lincang

Shen Lincang, (1922 ~) from Dafeng, Jiangsu. 1946 graduated from the Culture Department of Suzhong Public School. He used to be the deputy director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture, a teacher of China Correspondence University Nanjing Branch and Nanjing Jinling University for the Aged.

Member of China Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, member of Jiangsu Calligraphers Association and director of Jiangsu Old People Calligraphy and Painting Association. I liked calligraphy when I was a child. Good at seal cutting, official script and small letters, vigorous brushwork, dignified and elegant, full of changes. His works have been exhibited in the whole country, the whole army and Jiangsu provinces and cities for many times. Won the excellent prize of the national "Yi Rong Cup" painting and calligraphy competition, and the second prize of the China People's Friendship Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition. He is the author of the Battle between the Rivers and the Seas, Hundred Days Map and Thirty Kinds of Hundred Days Map. Biographies were compiled into China Dictionary of Modern Calligraphy Names and Who's Who of Contemporary Art in China.
