I drank Dongpo in the evening and woke up drunk. It seemed like midnight when I came back. The child is short of breath. You shouldn't even knock on the door, but lean on your cane and listen to the sound of the river. The dragon hates that this body is not mine, so forget the camp. The night was calm and the lines were flat. Since then, this ship has passed away, and Jiang Hai spent the rest of his life.
Translation:
The banquet in the middle of the night was drunk in Dongpo's apartment, and it seemed to be midnight when I came back. By this time, the boy servant at home had fallen asleep and snored like thunder. Gently knocked on the door, no response, so we have to lean on the stick and listen to the roar of the river running alone.
I often resent that this body doesn't belong to me. When can I forget the fame and fortune? Taking advantage of the dead of night and calm, I took a boat and disappeared, traveling all over the rivers and lakes for the rest of my life.

Su Shi (1037-1101) was a writer, painter and gourmet in the Northern Song Dynasty. Zi yue Zhan, no Dongpo lay man. This poem was written in the fifth year of Yuanfeng in Song Shenzong (1082), and Su Shi was exiled to Huangzhou for three years in September. In the third year of Yuanfeng (1080), Su Shi was demoted to Huangzhou (now Huanggang, Hubei) because of Wutai poetry case, and lived in Lingaoge, south of the Yangtze River. Later, a wasteland was reclaimed not far away, and crops and trees were planted, named Dongpo and Dongpo lay man. And built a house called Tang Xue here.
For Su Shi, who suffered from severe political persecution, this is the rest of his life, and his heart is bitter and painful. But he was not overwhelmed by pain, but showed a superhuman generosity, a calm spirit that did not care about the secular. Sometimes his clothes are covered with awns, he goes in and out of pavilions, and sometimes he goes boating on a moonlit night, causing waves between mountains and rivers.
