Zhao Kuangyin said:
Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin (March 21-June165438+1October14,976) was nicknamed Xiang Haier. Zhuo Junren (said Baozhou? [ 187]? ), was born in Jiamaying, Luoyang (now Dongguan, Chanhe District, Luoyang City, Henan Province). Military strategist, politician and strategist from the Five Dynasties to the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, and the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty (960-February 4, 976 165438+ 10/4).
The second son of Zhao (Song Xuanzu), the garrison commander of the capital of the Zhou Dynasty, was Du (Queen Zhao Xian).
Zhao Kuangyin defected to Guo Wei in the Tang Dynasty and became a soldier. During the reign of Zhou Shizong and Chai Rong, he made outstanding achievements after the Northern Han Dynasty and the Southern Tang Dynasty. When Chai Rong was seriously ill, he was promoted to the general commander of the Imperial Army. In the seventh year of Xiande (960), he was ordered to resist the Northern Han and Qidan allied forces. Then he proclaimed himself emperor in the "Chen Qiao mutiny" and returned to Beijing to persecute Emperor Gong of the Later Zhou Dynasty.
In the same year, Zhao Kuangyin became emperor, renamed "Song", which was called Song Dynasty or Northern Song Dynasty in history. During the reign of Zhao Kuangyin, according to Prime Minister Zhao Pu's strategy of "south first, north first, easy first and then difficult", the separatist regimes of Jingnan, Wuping, Houshu, Nanhan and Nantang were successively destroyed, and most parts of the country were unified.
In view of the self-sufficiency of local military commanders since the mid-Tang Dynasty, the military power of military generals and local buffer towns was banned and the relationship between the military and the people was adjusted through two "cups of wine to release the soldiers". At the same time, carry out a unified war, reform the official system, and strengthen centralization. However, the gradually formed policy of attaching importance to literature over martial arts and internal defense had an impact on the formation of poverty and weakness in the Song Dynasty.
