Tang Yin's Song of the Peach Blossom Temple fascinated countless people. Taohuawu is also famous all over the world because Tang Yin once lived here.
We might as well walk into Tang Yin's former residence, go back to that era, observe his tortuous life track and feel his paintings and poems.
Tang Yin's former residence site is located in Taohuawu historical and cultural area (No.28 Liaojiaxiang), and 1982 is listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Suzhou. The restored former residence covers a total area of 9,657 square meters, with a total construction area of 1984 square meters. The names of the halls, kitchens and rooms in the former residence are all from Tang Yin's paintings and calligraphy works, with distinct themes.
The words "Tang Yin's former residence" on the plaque of the former residence were inscribed by Gongda Yan, former vice chairman of China Calligraphy Association. Through the gate, standing on the Qinglian Bridge, the east and west double lotus ponds came into view, which was beautiful. Among them, the West Lotus Pond was filled in the old days and has now been restored.
Six Rutang: A Survey of Life
"Liurutang" is a preface hall. In the center of the room is the overall layout model of the former residence, and the chronicle above the model shows Tang Yin's life story. The right wall mainly describes several major events in Tang Yin's life, and the left wall mainly describes the historical changes in Taohuawu area.
Tang Yin's life was full of ups and downs. 1470, Tang Yin was born in a merchant family in Suzhou. He has been very clever since he was a child. When he was young, he studied painting in Zhou Chen, then made friends with Zhu Yunming to study literature and art. At the age of 24, his parents died one after another, and he studied hard under the guidance of his friends. At the age of 29, he won the first place in the rural examination. At the age of 30, he was imprisoned 10 months for participating in the examination room fraud and was sent back to his hometown. Tang Yin, 33, has experienced ups and downs in his life. After a tiring trip home, he sold books, poems and paintings to raise money for building a house in Taohuawu. In the 18th year of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty (1505), 36-year-old Tang Yin bought the ruins of Zhang Yun Villa in Song Dynasty, and built a thatched cottage more than two years later, renamed it "Peach Blossom Temple". Since then, the owner of Taohuaan has been living in seclusion.
Xuepu Hall-Remembering the Old Friends
Tang Yin made a lot of friends all his life, and he loved to meet friends with elegance. Xuepu Hall is the place where Tang Yin meets friends and receives guests. According to records, Tang Yin has two vegetable fields at home. Learning general means learning to grow vegetables. Taking Xuepu as the name of the hall shows Tang Yin's elegance in pursuing rural life.
In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, Suzhou's literary style became more and more prosperous, with an elegant collection of literati. This huge screen in the hall is a picture of ten talented people painted by Tang Yin, which reproduces the scene of Tang Yin and his friends tasting calligraphy and painting, drinking poetry and laughing.
Paintings, inscriptions and letters displayed in the whole school hall witnessed the friendship between Tang Yin and his elders and friends. Accompanied by good friends and relaxed mood, Tang Yin reached the peak of his creation in these years, leaving behind many well-known poems and paintings.
Song House-Elegant Style
Tang Yin Yayue is accompanied by music, chess, calligraphy and painting, poetry, wine and fragrant tea. Gegezhai, Gegezhai means singing after waking up. Here, facing the wind and lotus in the pool, Tang Yin lives in seclusion, sings alone, and stands aloof from the world, as if he could find inner peace here.
Standing here, it seems that you can see that Tang Yin has a glass of wine on a small stove on a snowy night in winter; In the summer afternoon, the lotus blooms, playing chess and enjoying tea.
Butterfly House-I am deeply touched by reading it.
Among the people, Tang Yin left many romantic legends and stories, and was known as "the first romantic talent in the south of the Yangtze River". The name of lent is also very romantic. It is said that there are flowers and butterflies flying around the Butterfly House, hence the name. On the plaque of Butterfly Love Zhai, the word "Falling Love" is written, which shows elegant charm.
The reconstruction of Tang Yin's former residence has given his story a concrete scene. His career is bumpy, whether it is charming or sad, now every spectator may have his own answer in his heart.
