Use a pen with an M nib or above. When writing artistic calligraphy, use an art nib, which is a very flat nib similar to the lamy joy nib. You can also use an ordinary pen to write round characters, but it lacks expressiveness. If it looks good, you still have to write with a dip pen, not necessarily a feathered one, just a dip pen used in ordinary comics.
