Practical writing style

There are three real line writing methods: virtual connection method, real connection method, and simplified connection method.

1. Virtual connection method

The virtual connection method is our common way of connecting strokes with ideas. The strokes echo each other. The characteristic is that there is no thread connection, and each stroke exists independently. , the priorities should be fast, the pace should be fast, and the overall structure should not change much.

2. Real connection method

Contrary to the virtual connection method, there are threads connecting the strokes, making writing fast. When writing, you should pay attention to the emphasis, lifting and pressing. secondary relationship.

3. Simple and continuous strokes

The simple and continuous strokes are for the speed of writing. In the line of writing, the original strokes are replaced by simple and continuous strokes without losing the large shape. That is to say, the shape of the original characters is maintained and the writing speed is improved, which is the so-called "running script". Running script is a general term for calligraphy, which is divided into two types: running regular script and running cursive script. It was developed on the basis of regular script and is a font between regular script and cursive script. It was created to make up for the slow writing speed of regular script and the difficulty of identifying cursive script.

"行" means "walking", so it is not as sloppy as cursive script, nor as straight as regular script. In essence, it is the cursiveization of regular script or the regularization of cursive script. Those with more regular script than cursive script are called "Xing Kai", and those with more cursive script than regular script are called "Xing Cao". Running script has high practicality and artistry, while regular script is a text symbol, which is highly practical and requires skill. In comparison, cursive script has high artistic quality, but its practicality is relatively insufficient.
