Characteristics of Mi Fei's calligraphy style.

Mi Fu

Mi Fei was a famous calligrapher and collector in the Northern Song Dynasty, and he wrote Slow Poems in Xiangyang, Lumen Jushi and Poems Outside Haiyue. Originally from Taiyuan (now Shanxi), he moved to Xiangyang (now Hubei) and then settled in Runzhou (now Zhenjiang, Jiangsu), which was called "Mi Xiangyang" in history. Mi Fei is good at poetry, calligraphy and painting, with fine appreciation, hobby of collecting, versatility and profound knowledge, and his achievements in calligraphy and painting are particularly outstanding. He was called a doctor of calligraphy and painting by Evonne in Song Huizong. Mi Fei's calligraphy has won the brushwork of Wang Xianzhi and the strengths of many schools, and he is regarded as a master. He, Su Shi, Huang Tingjian and Cai Xiang are also called the four great calligraphers in the Northern Song Dynasty. Su Shi praised Mi Fei's calligraphy as "calm and happy". His paintings pioneered the method of landscape painting "Mijia Yunshan" and created a precedent in the history of painting art. Mifei wrote History of Books, History of Painting, Famous Sentences of Haiyue and so on. The ink handed down from generation to generation mainly includes Tiaoxi Poetry Volume, Shu Su Tie, Fiona Fang An Ji and Tian Ma Fu. Among them, there are many essays by Han Zagreb.
