Xiong Jiquan (1945-) was born in Shaodong County, Hunan Province. He once worked as a worker in the Shijiazhuang Tractor Parts Factory, and was later transferred to the factory trade union as an art cadre. In 1984, he was transferred to the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles to take charge of the calligraphy association.
