Chen Zuiyun’s works

Chen Zuiyun, a famous modern calligraphy master, formerly known as Chen Yingru, self-titled Zuiyun Louzhu, is a native of Taishan, Guangdong. When I was a child, I was deeply influenced by the calligraphy of my grandfather Chen Shaodian. He immigrated to the United States in 1962 and settled in San Francisco. Chen Zuiyun is not only a strong pioneer of modern calligraphy art, but also a strong and brave modern poet. His poems are informal in form, clear in love and hate, and use words concisely and implicitly. He is the author of "The Collection of Cold Stars", "Country People", "The Movement of Love" and "The Collection of Drunken Clouds".

He also got inspiration from seal script and hieroglyphs, and used his extraordinary imagination to create He wrote the "characters" such as dragon, tiger, phoenix, horse, eagle, blessing and so on superbly, creating vivid new images, endowed them with thoughts, emotions and vitality, and named them "calligraphy paintings" (known as the "Three Creations of Zuiyun"); thus leading the way Fengsha has pushed the art of Chinese calligraphy to an unprecedented new realm and is known as the "contemporary golden mountain of rare pens".
