Ye Weiqi is from Dongguan. He loved calligraphy since he was a child, and the real standardization of learning calligraphy began with the worship of famous artists. He Lao was originally the curator of Guangzhou Art Museum, a master of Lingnan School, Guan Shanyue and Li Xiongcai, and a famous painter and theorist in China.
Ye Weiqi, then the chief auditor of Dongguan Construction Bank and the general manager of the five-star "Silver City" hotel, made a lot of efforts after studying. No matter how busy he is, he insists on taking at least one night a week to attend classes in his hometown. In order to master the "Slanger" calligraphy founded by He Lao, Ye Weiqi started with the basic skills and piled his exercises several feet high. With determination and perseverance, his calligraphy has made rapid progress and won many awards in the national calligraphy competition. 1993, Ye Weiqi began to learn the calligraphy classic Book Score. He was puzzled by the arguments and articles of famous scholars in the past dynasties about the study of Pu Shu. Not to mention research, it is not easy to accurately identify Pu Shu's cursive script. He can only make up for it with diligence, believing that water drops wear away. Six months later, I just finished reciting the score of the whole book. Combining with his own creative practice, he extensively studied Lao Zi's Classic of Tao Te Ching and the comments of famous calligraphers of past dynasties and other famous books and materials related to calligraphy art, and realized the mystery of Pu Shu and recorded them one by one. Over the past few years, there have been dozens of articles with unique insights and extraordinary language, and even He Lao applauded. The book Translation Theory came out naturally, which represented a new height of the book spectrum research theory and was widely praised by experts.
A great contribution of the translation theory of Shupu was praised as "the first in China" by He Zhi, which was a correction of the mistakes and mistakes in the interpretation of various versions of the translation theory works of Shupu. Ye Weiqi corrected as many as 20 places by comparing and analyzing the words and meanings of a large number of ancient books. This is undoubtedly of great academic value for accurately understanding the book spectrum and correctly using cursive brushwork.
Translation of Lun Shu Pu adopts the preface of Mr. He Zhi's Shu Pu, which is not a simple exposition in the preface. It denies the conclusion that Pu Shu is the preface in major dictionaries, establishes the status of Pu Shu as an eternal masterpiece of aesthetic book theory, clears the fog of history and returns history to its true colors.
Through more than 20 papers and notes, Ye Weiqi profoundly revealed his theoretical value and academic status, especially his core argument, pointing out that "Sun understood calligraphy from the artistic essence of the national philosophical and cultural spirit' Tao' and popularly expounded the flesh-and-blood relationship between calligraphy and the national philosophy' Tao'." On Pu Shu's Translation deciphered Pu Shu's discussion on the relationship between cursive script and regular script (regular script) for the first time, and established the incisive and bold view that "regular script is not the basis of cursive script", which became a statement of its own. In the translation of calligraphy spectrum, combined with the understanding of the essence of calligraphy spectrum, the author shows his unique views on the key issues of calligraphy, such as calligraphy style, brushwork, backbone, content and form, brushwork speed, fairness and danger, composition and application of brushwork, and aesthetic principles of calligraphy.
On the fondly translated version of Book Score (published by Lingnan Fine Arts Publishing House). Compared with the printed editions in different historical periods in China, it is obvious that the binding and printing are much more exquisite and high-grade. This large 16 hardcover color printing book is the crystallization of high-tech printing and plate-making technology. Sun's Book Score is full-text ink, thick and thin, broken and withered, and even the imperial seals stamped by emperors in previous dynasties are clear and abnormal, just like seeing the original. This book is a bridge for calligraphy practitioners and researchers to approach Sun's calligraphy soul.
Liu Guofu, former deputy director of the Social and Cultural Department of the Ministry of Culture and now secretary of the Party Committee of China Theatre Academy, commented that Lun Shu Pu Translation is a very good calligraphy textbook. Many famous artists in the field of calligraphy and painting also spoke highly of this book. It can be said that the publication of "On the Translation of Book Spectrum" is a new milestone in the study of Sun Shu Spectrum in contemporary book circles, and it is also another new contribution of Dongguan people to the motherland culture.
