Wu Yaming’s honors and achievements

In 1979, his work "Spring Blossoms Blooming from the Cold Earth" was selected into the National Art Exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and won the Best Outstanding Work Award.

In 1983, he served as Secretary-General of Beijing Chaoyang Culture and Art Counseling Center. In March of the same year, he returned to his hometown after 26 years of absence to sketch. He had an epiphany and transformation. He changed his painting style and cleverly combined traditional ink painting techniques with modern Western painting expressions to create his own school of ink and color painting.

In 1985, his works "Mountains and Flowing Water" and "Falling Leaves Listening to the Sound of Cicadas" were selected by the Ministry of Culture to participate in Japan's National "Modern Ink Painting Exhibition" and won the Outstanding Work Award. Among them, "Falling Leaves Listening to the Sound of Cicadas" is collected by the Japan Modern Ink Painting Association.

In 1986, China Everbright Group hired him as a full-time painter. His works are collected by well-known foreign figures, including Dr. Kissinger’s collection in the United States, “Landscape in Line Drawing” collected by the former Prime Minister of Japan, etc.

In 1987, the International Department of CCTV launched "Dreams of Bashu - Painter Wu Yaming and His Paintings", which was included in the "Famous Book of Modern Chinese Painters" co-edited and published by the presidents of China and Japan. "Twilight on the Yangtze River" and "Spring in the Water Town" were included in the album.

In August 1988, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall collected his huge traditional Chinese painting "Autumn Wind on the River".

In 1988, he was invited to hold an art exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. He was well received by the Japanese art circle and was hailed as a "master of modern painting" by the famous critic Masaharu Ikegami.

In September 1989, the work "Autumn in Shushan" was collected by the Great Hall of the People.

In 1989, the color and ink painting collection "The World of Wu Yaming" was published in Japan, and the "Wu Yaming Personal Painting Exhibition" was held by Beijing Liulichang Huaxia Painting and Calligraphy Society.

In 1990, he was transferred to the Ministry of Culture and served as an art consultant for the China Culture and Arts Development Corporation.

In 1990, launched by Rong Baozhai, the "Joint Exhibition of Wu Yaming's Works and Master Xu Beihong's Posthumous Works" was held in Tokyo, Japan.

In September 1990, Xinhua Painting and Calligraphy Academy hosted the "Wu Yaming Painting Observation Exhibition" in the News Building. More than 50 people including Yin Shoushi, Vice Chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chairman of the Artists Association and older generation artists in the painting field attended the opening ceremony. At the "Wu Yaming Art Seminar", Wu Yaming's artistic achievements were affirmed and he was named "Chinese Contemporary Talent Newsmaker" Incorporated into a book collection.

In 1991, "Bamboo Qingguan Riverside" was collected by Zhongnanhai and included in the Zhongnanhai Collection of Paintings. He was invited to hold an art exhibition and a Chinese painting lecture in Tokyo, Japan.

In 1992, the Japan International Art Exchange Association launched the works of Chinese painter Wu Yaming and issued the "Wu Yaming Painting Collection". The former Minister of Justice of Japan collected the calligraphy "Tao Fa Aura".

In April 1990, he was hired as a consultant to the Zhongnanhai Album Editorial Committee.

From January to May 1993, at the invitation of the United Nations Branch of Xinhua News Agency and the Dongjiang Foundation of the United States, he went to the United States to hold an art exhibition. It was hosted by He Pingnan, a famous art critic and director of the Oriental Art Collection of St. John's University. A press conference was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Flushing, New York. Chinese Ambassadors to the United Nations Li Daoyu and Chen Jian, Consul General in New York Zhang Weichao, Xinhua News Agency United Nations Branch Chief Liu Qi and others attended the opening of the exhibition. At the invitation of the North American Artists Association and Chicago's Dragon Shadow Gallery, an observation exhibition was held in Chicago. In March, at the invitation of the United Nations Chinese Painting Association, he held a calligraphy and painting exhibition at the United Nations Headquarters, painted for the United Nations Conference Center, and wrote the calligraphy work "World Harmony", and was awarded an honorary medal by the United Nations.

In August 1993, in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Mao Zedong, he was hired as the consultant and deputy director of the organizing committee of the National Hundred Calligraphers and Painters Pen Association and was responsible for the preparation of the event.

In January 1994, at the invitation of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, he created the eight-foot landscape painting "Ten Thousand Trees with Red Leaves in the Golden Autumn" for the department.

In September 2008, the Management Office of the Security Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China collected four calligraphy and painting works, including "Green Mountains and Countless Flowers", "Clouds Floating on Green Mountains and Waters in Golden Vase", and "Autumn Wind on the River", and they were displayed in the first banquet hall of Zhongnanhai and small banquet hall.
