Why did Wang Xizhi write the last small letter to a girl of 14 years old?

Because 14-year-old girl is very filial, Wang Xizhi was moved by her story, so she wrote her last little letter "Cao E Yuan".

As we all know, Wang Xizhi's Preface to the Lanting Pavilion has always been praised by later generations, and calligraphy is flowing in one go. But what many people don't know is that Wang Xizhi's last little letter, "Cao E Yuan", was actually written to a girl with only 14.

In fact, the reason is very simple. Wang Xizhi was moved by the girl's filial piety. The girl's name is Cao E, and her father is Wu Zhu, who does sacrificial work, such as begging for rain and offering sacrifices to mountain gods, but her father unfortunately fell into the sea during a sacrificial activity.

At that time, Cao E was only 14 years old. After hearing the news that her father fell into the sea, she immediately ran to the seaside to find her father, but she couldn't find him. Many people advised her to go home and rest, but she turned a deaf ear. The only belief in her heart was that her father was still alive, so she searched day and night.

Finally, after searching for 17 days, she jumped into the sea, which happened to be May 22nd. On May 27th, people saw her body surface with her father's body. Everyone was moved by her and named the river after her. Wang Xizhi was very moved by this story later, so he wrote a small letter to Cao E. ..

After Wang Xizhi wrote this short book "Cao Ebei", it has been kept in the cultural temple of "My Daughter Cao Ebei", but three years later, Wang Xizhi died of illness, and this short book "Cao Ebei" became his last one.
