Who is Zhou Ruchang?

Zhou Ruchang was born in Tianjin in 1918. His original name was Yuyan and his nickname was Min'an. Later he changed his name to Yuyan and his nickname was Jie Weiren. He once used the pen names Nianshu, Cangyu, Xuexi, Gu Yan, Jade Gong, Shi Wu, Yu Qing, Shi Yan, Tea Guest, etc. my country's famous red scholar, classical literature researcher, poet, and calligrapher, the first person to study red studies in New China, and a master renowned at home and abroad. More than 70 academic works have been published, and his representative work "New Evidence of the Dream of Red Mansions" is an important work with pioneering and epoch-making significance in the history of Red Mansions, laying a solid foundation for modern and contemporary Red Studies research. He died in Beijing in the early morning of May 31, 2012 at the age of 95.
