The Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the landmark buildings in Xi, and it is also a must-see for tourists. Climb to the top of the tower, overlooking the railing, and have a panoramic view of Chang 'an.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a square cone-shaped pavilion-style brick pagoda with the style of traditional architectural art in China. This tower is 64 meters high and has seven floors. The tower is made of brick and has spiraling stairs. There is an arched ticket gate on all sides of each floor, overlooking Chang 'an from the railing. There are stone gates at the bottom of the tower, and there are exquisite line carved Buddha statues on the lintel, which is said to have been made by Yan, a great painter in the Tang Dynasty. There are stone tablets on both sides of the south gate at the bottom of the tower. On the left is Li Shimin's Preface to Tang Sanzang, written by Chu Suiliang, a great calligrapher. On the right is Li Zhi and Chu Suiliang's Preface to Tang Sanzang. These two stone tablets were erected here by Xuanzang in Yonghui, Tang Gaozong, in October of the fourth year, and have been well preserved so far. It is worth mentioning that Wu Daozi and Wang Wei, painters of the Tang Dynasty, made many murals for Gianji, but unfortunately they have long been forgotten by history. However, there are still exquisite Tang dynasty lines on the stone lintels and doorframes of the lower four-door cave of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Daxiong Hall is the most famous and magnificent Buddhist temple in Chang 'an in Tang Dynasty. Tang Sanzang Xuanzang once presided over the temple affairs here and was in charge of the field of Buddhist scripture translation. He personally supervised the construction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the temple, so the Hall of Ursa Major has a very prominent position in the history of Buddhism in China. Inside the temple gate, the bell and drum towers confronted each other. There is a Buddhist pagoda with a monk's tomb in the southeast of Yanta. Daxiong Hall is the central building of the temple. There are three-body Buddha, Bodhisattva and Lohan clay sculptures in the hall, which is a place to worship Buddha and recite scriptures. Today's Cisi Temple is the scale since the Ming Dynasty, and most of the temples in the temple are buildings in the Qing Dynasty.

The history of Dali Temple Dali Temple was built in the 22nd year of Zhenguan of Emperor Taizong (648), with a history of 1300 years. When Tang Gaozong Li Zhi was a prince, in order to repay the kindness of his mother, Empress Wende, Emperor Taizong was invited to build a Buddhist temple and named it "Jigong Temple". At the beginning of the temple's completion, Xuanzang, a monk, was invited as the abbot, and Xuanzang founded the Mercy Sect of Mahayana Buddhism here, which became the holy land of Mahayana Buddhism in China. In 656, during the first year of Qing Dynasty, Tang Gaozong wrote an inscription on Daiyuji and named the temple "Daiyuji". Because Xuanzang, a monk, presided over the temple, his status and reputation were greatly improved. In addition, there are many precious flowers and plants in the temple, such as peony and peony, so many princes and nobles often go to the temple to burn incense and enjoy flowers, which is very lively. During the war in the late Tang Dynasty, temples were destroyed. Today's Daiyuji is the West Garden of the temple at that time, which was rebuilt in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.

The history of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda In the spring of the third year of Yonghui in Tang Gaozong (652), Xuanzang asked someone to build the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which was completed in October. At the beginning, the tower was five-story, with brick topsoil core. In 70 1-704, Wu Zetian was rebuilt into a seven-story pavilion-style brick tower during the renovation in Chang' an city, which has been preserved to this day. This tower was built to preserve the Sanskrit scriptures of Bedaroya retrieved from India, and more than10,000 Buddhist relics were buried. It is said that the origin of the name of the pagoda is like this: the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built by Xuanzang after imitating the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in India, so the original name of the Indian Pagoda was adopted. The word "Da" in front of the tower stands for Mahayana Buddhism.

The story of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda began in the Tang Dynasty. At that time, after every imperial examination, the new Jinshi not only had to wear flowers and ride horses all over Chang 'an, but also climbed the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, leaving poems as a symbol of their promotion step by step. It was a high honor at that time. Bai Juyi, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, boarded the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and wrote the poem "The youngest of seventeen people in Ci 'en Pagoda" to express the joy of young people's success. By the Ming Dynasty, although Chang 'an was no longer the capital, the local literati praised the story of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the Tang Dynasty. After each provincial examination (equivalent to the provincial examination), juren in the examination must climb pagodas and write poems. Up to now, some poems written by predecessors are still preserved on the lintel and stone frame of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
