Song Tao was born in an intellectual family in southwest Shandong, and was influenced by his father's calligraphy since childhood. When I was six years old, I wrote Spring Festival couplets with my neighbors. From elementary school to today, wherever I go, I am named after soft and hard pen calligraphy. Song Tao's calligraphy works are rooted in tradition, free and easy, hearty and not out of shape. They start writing, put pen to paper, put pen in place, use pen calmly and neatly, and the rhythm naturally changes between ups and downs.
He is currently the president of the China Artists and Musicians Association of Africa; Dean of Beijing Songtao Painting and Calligraphy Institute; Chairman of Beijing Songtao Culture Media Co., Ltd.; State guest ceremony calligrapher.
