1975, 17 years old began to learn calligraphy before joining the army. Get up at 4: 30 every morning to write, hot and cold; When there was no rice paper at first, write it in the newspaper; Later, after joining the army, he persisted; Even every time I March or go on a business trip, I take a few brushes with me and take out a pen and paper to start studying whenever I have time. Since Yan Shu, I have only studied many pagodas and monuments for many years. After studying Tang Kai for many years, I became interested in official script and began to study official script. Zhang Qianbei was the only one who studied for four years. After more than ten years of study, Li Ruifeng began to find his favorite-Cao Zhang. I gradually realized the charm of Cao Zhang in my daily study, and began to study and create Cao Zhang, which was out of control. From Zhao Mengfu's Cao Zhang Qian Wen Zi to Song Ke's Cao Zhang and Wang Quchang's Cao Zhang, I have studied it countless times. Later, I went to the Teacher's Day and found the inscriptions by Cao Zhang, such as You Shi, Zhang Zhi, Dan Wei, Huang Xiang and Suo Jing. At first, Cao Zhang's heart imitated his hand, his skills became deeper and deeper, and his mood gradually became peaceful and quiet. Finally, his calligraphy creation gradually became a serious phenomenon. Later, he made an in-depth study of the preface to the holy teachings of Huai Ren Ji Wang Xizhi. Every book is thoughtful, steady, smooth and vivid. As far as writing Cao Zhang is concerned, he is not only the first military calligrapher, but also a leading figure in the whole calligraphy field.
When Li Ruifeng studied Cao Zhang in 1993, he asked Professor Chang Guowu of Nanjing Normal University for advice and was deeply inspired. After years of study, I gradually understand the truth that "words are like people", and I realize that skills are limited and knowledge is infinite. So I told myself never to be a calligrapher like many calligraphers in calligraphy. In addition to the internal strength of calligraphy, I also pay special attention to the external strength of calligraphy, taking improving my self-cultivation as the first priority and making my calligraphy creation go up a storey still higher.
