Columnist of "Reading Weekly" of "Southern Metropolis Daily". Published "Research on Shen Nong's Materia Medica", "Longmen Prescriptions and Questions" (co-author), "Atlas of Chinese Medical Cultural Relics" (co-author), "Tao Hongjing Congcao", "Famine Relief Materia Medica", "Evolution of Traditional Chinese Medicinal Material Varieties" and Tao Di Xing" and other works. He is the author of the medical chapter of the national key project "History of Taoist Science and Technology in China" and has published dozens of research papers on materia medica, pharmacology, and Taoism. Erudite and fond of ancient times, his calligraphy and seal cutting are all neat. His works over the years include: "An Explanation of Doubts on Longmen Prescriptions", which collates the inscriptions on the Yaofangdong stele; "A Censorship of Tao Hongjing" concerning the author of the Jiaoshan Crane Inscription; and "A Question on the Fei Zhi Stele" which discusses the authenticity of newly discovered Han steles. In recent years, I have paid attention to the history of modern art, commented on modern seal writers, and Pinzao, a late calligrapher, has worked hard to write two books: "Modern Printing Circles and General Records" and "Modern Calligraphy Lin Pinzao Lu". The 2011 column was published by Xinxing Publishing House.
